Is it just me or do they look nothing like the movies?
I was surprised how terrible they are, every time I see pictures of them I just think how could they get them so wrong.
Main offenders are Buzz, Jess and Woody.
I saw Woody and Jesse in November and my daughter loved them... She is 6 and didn't let them go it was really cute. I thought they looked fine. They looked like the characters in the movie. Sorta cartoony but stayed with how the movie portraid them
Buzz and Woody, definitely. What they need to do is GREATLY decrease the size of their eyelids (especially on the bottom), and change where Woody's hat sits. In the movies you can generally see a little bit if his hair in front, which is not visible with the M&G character. I've been hoping both characters will get a major redesign, inside and out, pretty soon.
Jessie just needs a neck, but I don't suppose that's... "anatomically possible."
Bullseye, I think, needs to lose the saddle. Even in the movie, the saddle is detachable, and just looks awkward when he's on his hind legs.
Potato Head needs to get those eyelids from Buzz and Woody. His eyes have NONE of the personality from the movie. He just looks high or something. Also, I'm pretty sure he NEVER smiles like that in the movies.
The Green Army Men are just awesome. Period.
ALL OF THEM need to get "ANDY" on their feet! Obviously their shoes see a lot of wear and tear, but I feel that not having it is just BAD show.
I imagine as adults we can always find fault in a replica of a make believe characters from the movies. As long as the kids buy into it.... and they do, they probably won't pour that much money into making the characters more believable. I personally find Woody a little scary LOL
Jesse is really bad, she definitely needs SOME kind of neck. Buzz looks almost evil, and I agree about Woodys eyelids. But my kids love them, so thats really all Im concerned about
