When someone starts running up and forcing into peoples mouths Ill agree that its similar to weapons as toys. Isnt avoidance of passive smoking being given support?
All I can say is, ya gotta love foreign slang...
No one is forcing toy guns into hands either. I try to avoid smoke but now that there is no smoking in most buildings where I live, it's even worse when I'm forced to walk through the thick cloud from the smokers who have to stand in front of the doors outside.

So no problem with the Jnr Bomber kit then? After all its unlikely they will go on to blow up a train plane or building.
That's even more ridiculous. Do you really think these extremist cowards who bomb innocent people grew up in a loving home, vacationed in Disney and mom and pops bought them cheap toy guns after riding PoTC? My mom and pops bought me one of those guns back in the early 70's when I went to WDW. I grew up playing Cowboys and Indians, as politically incorrect as that is and I played all kinds of shoot em up games. Today, I do not have a criminal record, I do not, nor never have owned a real gun. I am a very open, tolerant and respectful adult (although some of you may argue :animwink: ) but mom and pops raised me to know right and wrong. I'm teaching my children not to hate. To use their imagination and not the visual reality of video games. To use their minds. My kids don't have toy guns as they preffer the skill and bravery found in swords and ancient martial arts...you know, using your hands and feet, the weapons used by those with courage. :)

Imo, you are half right.

Guns alone don't kill people, its people WITH guns that kill people. You take the gun out of a persoms hands and it won't go off. That is the best solution.
Until they find a box knife or something else... A mind with motives will alway be a mind with motives. Eliminate the motives and they can handle the temptations of society.... :D I just made that up... Thought it sounded pretty good myself...

There are no realistic guns sold on property.
I am not sure if anyone is aware of this fact, but they now make a real gun that is made to look like a "play" gun. There was a case of a boy that pointed a "play" gun at a cop and the parents of the child were arrested and the "gun" was taken away from the child.

"Junior Suicide Bomber" joke twice,

Sorry never quite saw the funny side of terrorism myself, but to clear any misunderstanding I fail to see the difference between the concept of selling that and guns. Didnt Spielberg remove the shot guns from the hands of agents in the reworked ET?

That logic doesn't hold up to verifiable fact.

FACT ? you mean it doesn’t agree with your opinion or pre formed ideals? I was under the impression that all the best forms of behavioural pattern setting believed in getting them while they’re young?

I refer you to an eye opening article, entitled "The Kids Aren't Killing" in the Nov issue of PC Gamer. It was also reprinted in the NY Times about two weeks ago. It uses the FBI's own crime statistics to verify that children are actually LESS violent than 30 years ago. Therefore, as I said, your statements do not hold up to fact.

No youve quoted something that supports your interpritation, at no time was I reffering to crimes by kids, because to be honest gun crime in the UK is not carried out by kids , and I think I even stated this.

What was the figure for overall gun crime according to the FBI? Here its up
Fatalities: 70 (-15%)
Serious injuries: 430 (no change)
Total firearms offences: 10,590 (+3%)
With replica/ imitation gun: 1,350 (+35%)
With handgun: 4,910 (-10%)
Source: Home Office recorded crime figures.

However, please note if it were up to me guns for sport would not have been banned in the UK, another walnut smahed by a sledge hammer IMHO. But then i dont think guns make good toys.
