Tower Of Terror

All of the seats will provide air time. When the elevator drops, it is actually pulled down faster than the speed of gravity. Everybody gets airborn momentarily before gravity pulls you back into your seat. Then it is sent back up to repeat. Twice.

That's the thing to keep in mind in deciding if your child can handle the ride or not. How does he or she feel about getting airborn after having the seat pulled out from under them?

Disney should have made it even more terrifying and had the elevator sit up there for five minutes and then have the entire drop sequence begin again without warning:) By the way, I don't put my hands up, but I always request the seatbelt seat:) It's so great...during the drops you can just kick your legs out in that seat and get great air time. Also try the 'quarter trick'...put a quarter in your hand during the drop sequence and it will hover over your hand for a few seconds.

I had the Seatbelt seat for my first time on the ride, I loved rollercoasters, I never gone on a free fall though, and that ride had me scared, I road it with out my hands up, I was releaved it was nice, (Next time i will get it again, and as for the CM to loosen it a lil, and bring a quarter with me,)

Lifts and Shafts

For Justin, the lifts and shafts are A, B, C, D, E, and F. Since B, C, D, and E sound alike on an intercom, they decided to use the Military terms:

The 4 lifts are-
Alpha
Bravo
Charlie
Delta
The 2 drop Shafts are-
Echo
Foxtrot

BTW, the military spelling for A is Alfa. At TOT it is Alpha. I got this info from http://www.geocities.com/bellhop_kevin/totindex/bellhops.htm and confirmed it with 2 bellhops at TOT.

Cheers

Agree with all that the ToT is the greatest attraction ever built. My 7 year old son watched the Disney pre-trip planning video over and over (and over and ...) and insisted on going on the ride. He is fearless concerning all things physical and had no problems with the drops. However, the CM introducing the pre-show scared him a little and the ghosts scared him a LOT. I was glad I had taken him to the washroom before boarding.
