Tower of Terror Update Confirmed

This info comes from Screamscape:
New Twilight Zone Drop Sequence (Tower 4) - Confirmed - (11/4/02) Disney confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel that they will be previewing the new Tower 4 program to select media journalists this week before the grand opening in January. Disney confirmed that the new version will feature several different ride programs that will be randomized so that you never know which version you are going to get as well as some new special effects.

That's awesome! I can't wait. Normally, since this is from Screamscape, I wouldn't get my hopes up, but it says Disney confirmed it to the Orlando Sentinel, so that's good.

I don't recall anyone on these boards posting the story from the Sentinel :veryconfu - Is the story to be believed, I know there have been many rumours about random drop sequences but is there any proof yet - other than the "story" from Screamscape ?

Current rumors say that it will unvield tomorrow night. The new effects rumored are an effect that seems like the tower is burning down to the ground, and the possible disapearing guests effect from DCA.

This is great. It really makes it fun to have a little something new to anticipate which will tide us over until Mission to Mars opens!

Mission to Mars was an old boring ride in Tomorrowland. This WON'T be borring at all.

Well it says it will be shown to media guests next week, so I assume it's already taken place, and they can pretty much turn it on with the flips of a few switches.

By the way, I love your avatar CEO. Brian Fellows is hilarious!

Is anyone sure WHEN the Rehab will accure?...

That's the amazing part, IT HAS. One shaft has gone the software and hardware shift so that'll be the one that they will demo TOMORROW. The rest will probably be between now and XMas.

Any chances of them testing it on the general public next week? That would be great if they do that during my trip next week.

Well I promised I would keep this quiet but since it is out in the open. The grand opening of the new random sequence will be in January to the public. Media and castmember will be going through tests and tours until then. From what I have been told, there are five different sequences an elevator will go on. No one will know when they get on which sequence it will be (not even the cast member operating the ride). There is one sequence where after the door closes, you go straight up, according to what I have been told by a reliable source. :)

Oh wow, I can't wait to see all the new effectd- I'll be there toward the end of January, so I'll get to be one of the first ones.
