Tower of Terror Suitcase Prop

Good point but that does not mean it was not. Disney is good but creative liberties happen with dramaturgy. Not likely for a hotel library to have a TV of that size or type in 1939 either.
I think that's a bit unfair. It'd be really hard for a crowd of 20 people or so to huddle around a 7" television screen, especially give social distancing guidelines. 🥴 So they sacrifice realism and decide to be a bit more practical.

Years ago, my son got a small light-saber light in that gift shop. It had the ToT logo and name on it. I am not sure how that tied in.
Yeah, that's just wrong. The individuals who designed and approved that should be fired! Awful!

Authentic Disney props from reputable auctioneering houses are really really expensive. I was able to obtain an authentic TOT Bellhop castmember uniform with authentic labels and which was authenticated by a former Disney costume keeper (although interestingly it was missing an expected sewn-in RFID device) at a cost of at or below manufacturing cost from a private party. That has been the only authentic Disney TOT prop I have ever gotten at a reasonable cost.

I Found this Suit Case and I believe it is a Disney World Hollywood Studios tower of Terror Luggage Prop. Could you please let me know if it is one and any information on it.

Where did you obtain the suitcase? Are there any markings on it to suggest it came from WDW or specifically the Tower or Terror?

Honestly, I think you just have an old suitcase, not a ToT prop.

Hi Believe it or not I found it in a dumpster full of Avon aftershave bottles, so I have no history on it. The reason I think it is real is by comparing it to Wothpoint's Disney World Hollywood Studios Tower of Terror Ride hotel luggage prop photos which are a direct match to my luggage prop.

Is there a post that has been taken out of this thread. I don't give a rats butt about the suitcase, but I am confused about all the additional information that you folks are providing that I don't see in Post #1. As a side note as old as I am not able to picture my Father using a suitcase like that in his youth, however, if alive, he would be 104 years old now. I, at nearly 78, do not remember seeing anything like that at any time.

Unless you found it in a dumpster on the grounds of DHS, it sounds like you have someone's discarded old suitcase.

So you found a suitcase while dumpster diving and immediately thought it was from tot? I don't know man, seems like you're mocking the thread. 🤔

Additional info to Q1 or Q2?

The original post was from 2020, now there’s a second question.

I wouldn't say a direct match...

I think, even though it is hard for my old brain to follow, it was something to do with a suitcase. I'm guessing that is Q2. If it is I have no clue what Q1 is. I'm guessing though that Q1 is where most of the other discussion came from. Thanks for letting me know.

Both questions are about a suitcase, both posters thought theirs was from ToT. Chances are neither was.

You may want to believe it is from ToT but there's no evidence that it has any connection in any way other than it has similarities to the type of suitcases found in the lobby. It will never have value other than in your mind because there is nothing that proves it's anything other than a discarded suitcase someone tossed.
