Towel animals

Another thread inspired me....what kind of animals have ou gotten in your room
My wife's favorite was an elephant
One night during the MNSSHP we got a giant towel roll of candy

What else have you seen???

We stayed at POP a couple weeks ago, and the only towel animals we had were the two little ones that were in the window when we arrived. However my DD's stuffed animals would be arranged really cute. Last year at POP we had something every day. My fav being the swans. When we stayed at BC there was a lobster in the bathtub. Very impressive!!! I don't think the resort matters. I think it may be how busy they are that influences whether or not you get the towel animals.

does it have anything to do with the resort you stay at, value, moderate, deluxe?
Maybe they are more likely to set them up if the room looks like there are kids staying? Or how buzy they are and how much creative time the housekeepers have to spend on rooms that particular day? We've had trips where only one has appeared all week and others multiple creatures show up on every day.

Hahaha well in that case maybe I'll bring some little kid things and lay them around!! ;)

**also happy that I just figured out how to not only just quote what someone said but who said it, it's the little things, hehehe

Has nothing to do with who is staying in the room. Has nothing to do with tips. It's just a random gift that, if you are very lucky, you might receive.

Also form my understanding some people have stopped doing it because they would do all the hard work for the towel animals and proper cleaning and then someone later in the week would end up with the tip even though they didn't do anything! This is because most mouskeepers only work 5 days a week so if you only leave the tip on the days they are off they don't get any fruits from their labor.
This is one of the biggest reasons I have a hard time deciding whether or not to leave a tip. On SO many occasions we've had the same Mousekeeper for the entire trip but then the last day when we check-out it's a different person. We started leaving small tips every day as a result but I guess because they are small, they don't warrant the effort. Sad but understandable.

I will say this, though some folks above say it has no bearing... the only times we've gotten towel animals were during visits where we left a specific note that we enjoy them. There was one exception and that was DS6's first trip when he was 10m old and we had the pack-n-play and tons of toys (so it was very obvious a young child was in the room).
