Towel animals ?

We've gotten a couple the last couple of stays at Pop. Last trip, the mousekeeper even arranged an orange blanket my daughter left on her bed into a cool looking bow. We got a cool picture of her laying on the bed with it up on top of her head. We saw them in all the windows of all the rooms as we would walk by too. Like somebody else on here said, not expected, but a nice treat when you do get one. :sohappy:

The kids kept two small ones from our trip in 2004 that were made from washcloths. The larger ones we take pics of.

Here are links to a few of ours - as you will see our mousekeeper didn't just make animals, but used the stuffed friends as well to create some fun scenes. With the pool, she seen us leaving in our swimsuits for Blizzard Beach. It's lovely when everyone helps make the magic at WDW!

Maybe Disney should hold towel animal making sessions so people can leave the animals at disney but make them when they get home, I am sure there would be a healthy amount of people, especially if they had morning and evening classes. Probably would only need to be 20 mins long.

I guarantee I would come out of that class tired,, and knowing how to make the super awesome Square towel animal.

ps...thanks much for the pictures, i get the idea now! :D

We have had towel animals in our rooms the past few times we have went. The first time, it was a very cute little duck. I wanted very badly to take it home. But, my husband wouldn't let me, claiming that it would be "stealing". I think I'll ask at the front desk next time. PLUTO FAN: how do I find out when and where to attend the magical moments to learn how to do it? There are some web sites that explain how to do it, but I really need someone to show me how hands on.

The toothbrush holder towel is why I always put my toothbrush away on Vacation, I would FREAK if someone touched my toothbrush....just a little OCD on that subject.

We have gotten them on some vacations, we have not on others, its cute, but I never EXPECT it.

Didn't know you could keep them... that's a lot of towels given away every day... are we SURE you can keep them?

Anyway, I find one good way to get towel animals is to leave some stuff around that gives the appearance you are traveling with children. Of course, if you ARE traveling with kids, then no problem. But I've never gone with kids. Next time will be my first with a kid... and I've gotten the towel animals. We've left toys around and whatnot. Stuffed animals in particular. They seem to inspire creativity.

What hotel are you all getting these from? I've never had one made while I've stayed in the park. I've seen the pics though and I'd like to get one on my trip next month. Do they do this at ASMu? That is where I'll be staying?

the past two years we stayed at ASMU and we have gotten the towel animals.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing! As soon as the last person is done brushing I am packing them away.

We stayed at CSR for 8 days this past July. I tipped $4 everyday, the last day I tipped $6. We did NOT get a single towel animal. It was also very visible there were kids in the room. Very disappointed. They did arrange the stuffed animal on the beds some days.

Interesting! Although, I do appreciate towel animals, I don't think I could even find space in our luggage to bring them home! I usually have a tough time fitting in all the stuff we buy. :)

I thought that too.:lookaroun I always put the cap on them and the toothpaste and put them in ziploc bag inside the suitcase.
Glad it isn't just me!
