Or

I havent stayed at any of those but I must say WL is one of my favorite resorts and is where i'm trying to stay for my next trip? With that said though, give me the extra week at OKW no doubt.

How do you schedule more then 14 days though? Also, how do you buy more then a 10 day ticket? Do you just have to make 2 reservations?

Oh wow, I had no idea you all got such good pricing. I know it obviously costs more to get to WDW then for me but I really didnt think your pricing was that good. Thats pretty cool. Nice to see Disney taking care of overseas customers.

Hi Crush....

I think your airfare is the rate limiting element here... I would go for the longest stay. Besides, it will let you hit more Signiture Dining :).

As always when it comes to dining you are spot on :wave:

This is probably the way to go, uunless i have to cut it back to 2 weeks workwise :lookaroun

some info

first off if you stay 3 weeks you can goto the other resorts and check them out . the one draw back to staying at okw is they don't have a real upscale restaurant. the advantages are that it is one of the quieter more relaxing resorts. it is located near downtown Disney so along with the buses you can take a boat or even walk to downtown Disney it is not a short walk but you can still walk it. now akl has the african theme where you have restaurants in jiko and boma which have a mix of african and American cuisine. it also has sanaa which has more of an indian flavor in its food. it is also cool to see the animals off your balcony while you're relaxing. draw back to akl is it is not really close to anything but animal kingdom so the bus rides can be a little long. I have not stayed at wilderness lodge but enjoy visiting it while i am at Disney world. they have nice restaurants one being whispering canyon which is an all you can eat bq and the restaurant artist's point is supposed to be very good even though i have never eaten there. another advantage to wl is it is close to the magic kingdom in fact you can take a boat there and if i am not mistaken you also have access to the campgrounds which has some fun things to do

Yeah really what im lookin for is what ye would do!

I know all about The resorts and have stayed at OKW before, its a brilliant resort!

Just wondering if the experience of staying at 1 of the lodges would be worth the loss of a week??

That's a tough question. Tough to decide between 2 weeks at AKL or WL. In my opinion, 3 weeks would just be too long. I would probably be ready to go home by 2 weeks (the longest we have stayed so far is 9 nights, with 10 planned for April). Not to mention that there may be problems getting that much time off work, and I would want to save some vacation time for later. And one more thing to keep in mind is that even though you say the price is the same, it isn't really. You're talking one whole extra week of paying for food and snacks every day, and souveniers, etc...which could add up to quite alot, even if you only eat counter service and snacks.

So for me, the choice is between the two 2 week options. On the one hand, I may be tempted to try AKL since I haven't stayed there yet and so staying somewhere new is somewhat appealing.

On the other hand, that particular theme has never appealed to us, and we enjoyed the Wilderness Lodge when we stayed there in April. And I like having Ft Wilderness just a boat ride away as well as the Magic Kingdom and the other resorts.

So probably 2 weeks at the Wilderness Lodge.
