OTS restraints on the Tower of Terror? Never. They sacrificed airtime enough with the seatbelts...

Not to mention, it will be painful when it starts to spring back up. So many valuables would be lost, and and it would be to hard to accomplish with the mechanics of the ride system in place.

I know, for one, that it would make me sick to face downward and then be pushed down when the elevator stops or springs back up.

Anyone who has been on a sling-shot ride knows that. It's extremely intense and would keep a LOT of people from riding. Not going to happen. The height requirement would go from 40" to at least 48", it would cost a fortune, and it would make the ride significantly less popular. It's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

That would take away from the haunted eleator theme. Even haunted elevators don't tilt down. The ride is perfect the way it is. Maybe an improved preshow, but even it's perfect, who knows what will come. I'd say that would be hard to do, though.

I highly doubt that they would even CONSIDER turning the elevators upside down. Not only would they have to pay for new elevators that could turn like that, but more than likely have to totally redo the elevator shafts to be able to let it turn, and/or because of the new elevators mechanics.

Would be kick @$$ though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every Freefall attraction I have ridden with OTSR have failed to bring the thrills that TOT does...

Anyway... I never thought of having the mirror room in the shaft...

But it would that room be able to fit in the preexisting shaft?

There are also a lot of new technologies out that did not exist when the 5th dimension was built. Just imagine what it could be like if it used all of today's current technology.

So that means either Jon was actually right about something, or you can discredit the entire rumor.
Don't listen to that other inner voice...

I highly doubt that the elevator would turn during the ride....It would be a bit of the impossible....Though, for the 13th anniversary, I would think they would rehab the whole building(but keep it the same way it is), build a 3rd shaft, a new preshow, and bigger, yet confined space(think of the movie 'Alien', in the ship's hallways) Boiler Room. It would be cool to make everything that the supposed 'Hollywood Tower Hotel' has....but of course, ToT's in small space....so scrap that.

Btw, I'm making a story about ToT! It was going to be released May 5th, to coincide with the Tower opening in DCA, but it's running late....darn...maybe probably May 13th....

Kewl!! I made a story for my English class based from ToT as well. This time, it was about what happened to the rest of the guests! It was a premiere party for the Wizard of Oz (which also premiered in 1939) and they all dissappear as well. I also changed the name to the Emerald Tower Hotel. But anyways, I had sooo much fun writing it!

Will do, but, can you give me a few days? I finished the story at my one parent's house, and right now I am at the others until Wednesday, so I can try sending it to you then, just remind me :D (I forget things SO easily  )

The WDW ToT cars can`t tilt - not unless they totally redesign the ride system. The AGV (what you ride in) slides into the VVC (the carriage in the drop shaft), which has a VERY solid floor, full of interlocks and sensors. No way to see through that. Plus, there is also the return cable run under the VVC (they are pulled downwards by cable as well as upwards) - hence the fall `faster than gravity`.

I was just thinking that the green rain effect would be pretty cool (Tower of Terror Movie). Thought I'd add my two cents

Yeah, there's no room for it here. The drop shafts aren't large enough either. Sorry guys... Not gonna happen here. :)

Though, it sounds kinda cool.

Maybe THAT's what they're doing in Tokyo!
