Top Three ADR

My husband and I and our 4 children (14,12,11,6) are visiting in June. We are planning on being at the parks for 3 days. We have park hopper passes and the Dining Plan. What are the three dining reservations I should get? We did CRT last year (which was our only table service) so don't need to do that one. Thanks!

Wow, that is a difficult question without knowing some more background. Like, is your family adventurous eaters? Which parks do you plan on going to and how much time do you plan on spending in each park? Are you including breakfasts, lunches and dinners? Are you including resorts/Disney Springs? And finally do you like character dining and buffets vs more "fine dining"

If I had to pick( and I will leave out DS):

Breakfast: 'Ohana,
Lunch: Skipper's Canteen
Dinner: Jiko

Thanks for the replies! We are interested in character dining. We are staying at AOA and are planning to spend most our time at MK but will hop to the others.

Well since you have fairly limited time and are going to be in and around the MK mostly. I would recommend looking at the monorail resorts for the best dining and they are an easy trip from the MK. Inside the MK Be are Guest is a really popular option(preferably for lunch), Skippers Canteen and The Plaza. Cindy's royal table in my opinion is overpriced and not that great of a meal but definitely a different experience.

The Poly has 'Ohana, the contemporary has Chef Mickey(character dining) and Grand Flo has a couple of nice offering for character and fine dining. All of which I definitely enjoy.

If you hop to Epcot for dinner one night, I would suggest a restaurant around the World Showcase. Rose and Crown might be my favorite but Le Cellier, Tokyo dining and if you dare the princess brigade in Norway are all very popular.

Do yourself a favor and head to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and dine at Jiko or Boma.

Ok so I’ll revise my recommendations..

Ohana breakfast. (My personal favorite character meal).
Garden Grill dinner or lunch.
BOG for breakfast or lunch. (Quick service)
I’m gonna leave Whispering Canyon on the list even though it’s not character themed..it’s such a fun and funny time. :)

For characters we have only done breakfasts and our favorites are Crystal Palace, Tusker House, and Cape May. BOG is not a character meal but you can meet the Beast at dinner.

Other favorites are:
WCC breakfast at WL
Boma breakfast or dinner at AKL
DHS - 50’s PTC
AK - Rainforest Cafe
MK - LTT lunch, Tony’s dinner
Epcot - Coral Reef lunch or dinner, Tutto Italia lunch, Le Cellier dinner, and Chefs dinner.

Trails End is a nice boat ride from MK and a nice comfort food buffet.
If you are seafood lovers, Cape May is a great buffet at Beach Club Resort.

Liberty Tree Tavern (MK) is a family favorite.

Boma (AKL) is a great option for breakfast or dinner. There is lots of new things to try, but still enough 'regular' food for the less adventurous eaters. I would give the edge to breakfast, but I loved both.

I am hoping to try the Skippers Cantina our next trip, but the rest of my party are less than adventurous eaters, so it might be a tough sell.. Maybe I'll go myself for lunch.. ;)

If I was just picking three (and the family in question was mine), they would be:

1 - 'Ohana (Polynesian) for dinner
2 - Biergarten (Epcot) for lunch or dinner (during a time the band was playing)
3 - Sanaa (Animal Kingdom) for lunch (alternative: Tusker House at AK)

Honorable mentions: Raglan Road (Disney Springs) for lunch or dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern (MK) for lunch, Coral Reef (Epcot) for dinner.

With 4 kids
Breakfast Crystal Palace 10:30 am morning or 11ish lunch EMH at MK and then hop out
Lunch BOG(qs credit but must be booked) hopping from a different park with morning EMH
Late lunch or dinner ROL package at TH
Lunch or dinner WCC if going there would not upset your plans for park time or Sanaa if that would work out better time wise
In park R&C if you can get a 7:30ish and stay for Illuminations

I can't limit myself to 3. My completely uninformed opinion, and in no particular order, a list of places my family and I are super fond of:

Yak & Yeti - tasty food, cool decor, fantastic alcoholic beverages
San Angel Inn Restaurant - so romantical and decent Mexican food
Restaurant Marrakesh - belly dancers, lovely decor, yummy food
Narcoossee's - amazing seafood
Artist Point - really fine Northwest regional dining (my fav at WDW)
Crystal Palace - can't beat dinner with Winnie
'Ohana - killer breakfast with Lilo and Stitch
