Actually, I am not even sure I saw 10 movies in theaters this year; probably 5 or 6. Out of those I did see, Incredibles was definitely the best. :)

I didn't see that many, but let's see if I can come up with a top 5...

1. Finding Neverland
2. Kinsey
3. Passion of the Christ
4. Secret Window
5. Day After Tomorrow

I had forgotten that I saw Secret Window and liked it. Therefore, Anchorman goes out because while I liked it, it wasn't that great.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

THE BEST
1.) Incredibles (Brad Bird is my idol)
2.) Garden State (Nice work Zach Braff...)
3.) Spanglish (critically got a luke warm response, but I thought Brooks worked magic here)
4.) The Aviator (Incredibly well filmed. If Scorsesee doesn't win the Oscar, I will be shocked. Had an amazingly powerful ending.)
5.) Finding Neverland (You go Johnny Depp, even if this movie is a tad sappy)
6.) Collateral (A slick action movie, only slightly marred by a disappointing ending)
7.) Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (This movie has Doogie Howser, nuff said)
8.) Team America: World Police (Crude, lude, and Histerical. AMERICA! F*** YEAH!)
9.)Shrek 2 (Donkey!)
10.) SAW (Had some lame dialogue and acting, but a story so sadistic, you want to look away, but just cant;))
11.) Spider-Man 2 (Superheros done right)

THE WORST
1.) The Forgotten (Wow, we have no story! HOORAY!)
2.) Taxi (Queen Latifah must be stopped)
3.) Wicker Park (Let's destroy a good Foreign Film:))
4.) Open Water (Worst. Ending. Ever.)
5.) Catwoman (Never saw. Never Will)
6.) Dodgeball (I usually let stupid comedies slide. This one was just pathetic and not funny. Seeing a man get hit in the groin can only be so funny. Had such potential:()
7.) Troy (The Illiad for morons.)

MEDIOCRE
1.) The Passion of the Christ (Nicely filmed, yet at the heart of things, we're just watching a guy get the crap kicked out of him for two and half hours)
2.) I Heart Huckabees (Nice message. Not well put together)
3.) The Village (Well Filmed. Nice Story. Badly Advertised. C'mon M. Night you have such potential)
4.)Alfie (Jude your good, but did this NEED to be remade)
5.) Sideways (Maybe my expectations were too high. It's a well made film, that is funny. Nevertheless, it's essentially about two depressed losers that remain two depressed losers, even as the film ends. I'm never gonna understand the critical praise on this one.)

I saw a lot more movies this year, but these are the ones of note;)

Of 2004? Hmmm...

1)Napoleon Dynamite. Nobody believed me when I told them how funny it was.

And in no specific order, here are the movies that I really enjoyed over the last year:
~Home on the Range
~The Incredibles
~Lion King 1 1/2
~A Series of Unfortunate Events (I was dragged to that movie, and I really did not want to go. It was OUTSTANDING. First movie I have cried in, in a long time)
~I, Robot
~Spiderman 2
~National Treasure
~Mean Girls

Now for the worst:
~Christmas With The Kranks

There are few more, but I can't remember.

Come on now  At the heart of things it means a WHOLE lot more than that. Of course it means alot more to believers than to non believers, I'm sure.

I just hope Oscar voters put their personal beliefs aside and give this film the respect it deserves. It truely was the biggest event of the year in films. And the acting was so good, I didn't even notice that it wasn't in English. Caviezel for Best Actor and Passion for Best Picture.

I know. I lost all respect for Oscar voters when Jim Carrey got snubbed for Man on the Moon. I'm sure they won't forget about little Mikey Moore's film though. I believe most of them wouldn't know a good movie if it slapped them in the face. What can you do?
