I really liked the top 10 lists that bob saget had done in other threads and it got me to think of another list. There are always certain aspects of an attraction that will stand out to me, and a lot of the times it is either what I hear and/or read. So I was thinking, what are my top ten favorite wdw attractions that I like to quote? Initially, I was going to make this the top ten quotes in wdw, but I thought that would be way too subjective and I couldn't narrow anything down because I could make a top ten list like that based a single attraction! So I decided to list the attractions as a whole I thought have the best lines in all of wdw, with some examples of my favorite quotes from each attraction.
So here is my top ten and please feel free agree, disagree and do your own as well if you want.
10. Walt Disney World Railroad
*while waiting on the platform* "Your attention please..."
9. Soarin'
*From the Intro film* "This includes cameras, purses, hats, and of course...these little beauties." *Takes off mickey ears*
"Soarin' to tower, we are ready for takeoff!"
8. Mission: Space
"Attention Trainees: If you are prone to motion sickness, or made uncomfortable by enclosed dark spaces, simulators, or spinning, you should bypass this experience"
7. Tower of Terror
"A friendly word of warning. The next time you check in to a deserted hotel on the dark side of hollywood, make sure you understand just the kind of vaccancy you are filling, or you may end up a permanent resident..of the Twilight Zone"
6. Pirates of the Carribean
"Dead men tell no tales"
"Weeee wants the redhead!"
*Jack is right behind pirate speaker* "Oh Captain Jack Sparrow, he'll never find the treasure with out a look at this here map, and this key"
5. Splash Mountain
"Zip-a-dee-do-da, zip-a-dee-day, that hungry gator is gettin' his way"
"It's the truth, it's actual, everything is satisfactual"
*Ride stops* "Looks like Brer' Fox and Brer' Bear are causin' some kinda commotion downstream.."
4. Spaceship Earth (although it would be no doubt #1 if Jeremy Irons was still the narrator...sigh)
"Like a grand and miraculous spaceship, our planet has sailed through the universe of time, and for a brief moment, we have been among its passangers."
3. Carousel of Progress
"No privacy at all around this place!" ..."Sorry Orville"
"You know that pilot fella, Charles Lindbergh? he's about to fly a single wing airplane all the way across the atlantic. Ha, he's never gonna make it." He also says it about the Wright Bros. too! haha
"Besides it not going to rain today, my lumbago isn't acting up" *Starts pouring*
2. Jungle Cruise
*Approaching the temple* "Oh no anything could be in there...danger, treasure, a dead end, or even worse...a Disney gift shop."
*Going to the waterfall* "Ladies and gentlemen Disney proudly presents...the backside of water." "As you exit the boat, watch your head, if you hit your head, watch your language, this is a family place."
The endless puns and one-lines make this attraction probably the funniest, or should I say punniest, in all of wdw.
And the 1. most quotable attraction in wdw is It's a Small Wor-...just kidding. Although I like the ride, just by saying the attraction name you have basically quoted the whole ride haha The real 1. is....
1. The Haunted Mansion
The reason why I had this #1 is because of the tone and setting the "ghost host" sets to the attraction. I feel like that lone voice is the most important part of the attraction, and makes it a classic.
"This chamber has no windows and no doors, hmm, hmm, hmm. Which offers you this chilling challenge, to find a way out! *Lols*
"Our library is well stocked with priceless first editions, only ghost stories of course, and marble busts of the greatest ghost writers the literary world has ever known."
"The happy haunts have recieved your simpathetic vibrations, and are beginning to materialize"
And there are so many more!
Also two honorable metions: The Monorail
The classic "Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor, manténgase alejado de las puertas."
and..
Tomorrowland Transit Authority Old Narration: "Now approaching, final destination, rockettower plaza station" *Bell chime*
