A week ago I did a thread about the top rides at MK. Now it is time for the top rides at WDW. Obviously we are just going to use the main parks here. No waterparks obviously. Just the big 4. Give reasons if you would like.
#1 Pirates of the Caribbean - My favourite at MK and still beats anything at WDW in my mind. The theming, the queue, the music, the nostalgia. There isn't another place in the world that is quite like it.
#2 Haunted Mansion - Pretty much same as Pirates. Hard to ever fin a Haunted House that you can appreciate that much. There are a couple haunted houses in Niagara Falls that will absolutely terrify a grown man to walk through (seriously) but Haunted Mansion amazes you more than anything
#3 Expedition Everest - The most thrilling ride at WDW in my opinion. For a second, just a second I thought the mock broken train tracks at the top of the mountain were real, and then the fall backwards in the dark. Wow! It almost felt like a free fall - off of the tracks! Plus I was sitting in the front, lol. Good theme, great ride.
#4 Tower of Terror - The theme is incredible. 2nd to EE on the thrill aspect. Plus I find a free fall in the dark to be much more terrifying. Plus you truly feel like you are in a haunted hotel. The crew is dressed up as bellhops and it is downright creepy leading up to it.
#5 Splash Mountain - Great queue, great theme. Lots to appreciate. Great drop at the end. 'Nuff said.
#6 Dinosaur - A much better ride than one would think. The dinosaurs alone with you in the dark are a great aspect. Good theming too.
#7 Its a Small World - Nothing like the other ones on here, but I can't leave it off of here. Too classic and simple of a ride that is an absolute must-do when I go there. Maybe 2-3 times as well. Like Pirates, its a ride you have never and will never see anywhere else. Pure Disney.
#8 Aerosmith - It doesn't give you the Disney feel, but being the only roller coaster that goes upside down has got to crack my top 10. In the dark to boot.
#9 One Man's Dream - Just pure nostalgia. The story of Walt. Got to love that. Plus the lobby is almost the best part looking and reading all of the artifacts about him. Loved it
#10 Country Bear Jamboree - Crazy eh? But I don't care. There is some sentimental reasons for this show that connects me to my grandparents all the way back to 1973. I love Space Mountain, but when I went a few months back and it was closed to be honest I think I was happier that it wasn't the CBJ. I hope they never take it away like at Disneyland.
Sorry Epcot, nothing there cracked the list. I tried but there are too many great attractions all around. Soarin was close. As was Universe of Energy. But what's left? Test Track? Good ride, but Space Mountain didn't even make it. Honey I Shrunk the Audience? Way too much competition.
Other notables that missed out, Legends of the Lion King, Thunder Mountain, Carousel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, Peter Pan
