It's about place and time. You can simply list everything in your profile. That's WHY you have a profile. To let people know about yourself. I don't care where you live and I don't care how many times you've been down to FL. HOWEVER I know that many people do care... so I'm not saying you shouldn't be proud... just courteous.
I think the horizontal listing is a moderately acceptable version... but everyone's seen the people with 40+ lines of vertical hotels. I still think the profile is a better place for it.
Yeah I wanted to know if anybody had any new pics too.Originally posted by Poncho1973
...Anyone with NEW pictures?
A CM told me about that once when I was younger while I was waiting for the train with my mom.Originally posted by CTXRover
When I rode the train last weekend, it still stopped at the ToonTown train station, it just didn't leave anyone on or off (for obvious reasons). Instead, I actually learned something. To the left of the track (opposite of the station) is a small house and water tower. They lower a tube from that water tower to fill up the reservoir in the trains since they are powered by steam. The small house has something to do with releasing the pressure when they first start the train back up. Some CM in the front was explaining the whole process over the speakers as we sat there waiting for them to finish, but I wasn't able to hear all of it completely.
I don't know if each train has to make that stop each time it goes through that area or not, but it was neat. I guess that is usually all done as people are loading and unloading from the train and I never noticed it before.
The train literally comes within a few inches of a blue construction wall on the other side where the old station was.
I suppose some new, ultra-modern, fancy station would be better than rebuilding the exact same structure, but I personally never thought the old station didn't fit perfectly with the whole "fair" theme to begin with. Obviously it must have been falling apart and needed to be re-built, but I don't think it means it needs to be completely changed. Its like the rebuilding/fixing of facades on Main Street or even on NYS at MGM right now....although sometimes portions of the facades are completely re-built from scratch, they ultimately look exactly like they did before...same goes for rebuilding the train station.
