The first time I saw it my kids were with me and my 3 year old (then 2) was FREAKING OUT so I spent the whole show trying to keep him from having a meltdown. It scared the life out of him. I probably would have been a little scared myself if I wasn't comforting him.

yea I guess the sting isn't so bad, but you're right about the anticipation of it. The suspense makes it hurt more than if it surprised you without knowing.

In all honesty, has anyone been to one of the shows where NO YOUNG CHILD cried or screamed to get out of there? I like the show, but I cannot put behind me that the show is unsettling with some people. My mom, for example, cannot put up with the show because she is uneasy with the large amount of fog in the final scene. She enjoys HISTA and Muppets, however. Same concept with a 3-D movie and effects, but Bugs seems to be a little too intense IMO.

I don't think it's too intense at all, although I have seen some little kids get scared (my niece did). I think it depends on where you sit too, I always used to sit in the back or the middle, but the last time I saw it I was more towards the front and you really get more of an effect from the fog sitting up front.

I agree, my niece that was scared of it's tough to be a bug was also scared of the Great Movie ride at MGM so it really just depends on the kid.

I've always enjoyed it, but having gone through it with kids of various ages, they do get upset particularly with the dark and the spiders, but also the stings and the crawling bugs at the end. My youngest who is 9 does not want to go on it based on his earlier experiences.

I have to admit, that like Erika, I'm a leaner.

Maybe we should rip it all out an put in a Stitch attraction.
