Too many ADR's? I've got a shy kid here...

It just dawned on me about transportation early in the morning to the parks for meals... I am assuming that the bus goes to the parks early for people who have 8am reservations?

Wow! I'm super jealous of your itinerary. I just tried to book at 6 AM 180 days out and I didn't get one single advanced dining reservation.
If you happen to be going the week of November 16-20, and they're canceling any of these… Let me know! :)

I spoke to a representative at Disney who gave me the best advice (when I booked this trip 65 days before going BTW):

1. Continue to check back every day online around 6-7 AM and again around 1-2 PM to see if your reservations are available
2. When you check online you should always put in a time (instead of saying breakfast/lunch/dinner) b/c those options will give you different available times.
3. She also said that people commonly cancel their meals DAYS before arrival date and/or on the 45th day till arrival (as this is the last cancellation day w/o a fee, I guess?).

After doing this for a week, I got all my reservations... I couldn't believe it!!!!

Not sure if you already did this, but you might want to call Disney as well. I feel like I have heard a lot of people lately unable to get any ADRs at all and it might be a technical glitch. It seems crazy that there would be absolutely no ADRs available. Some of the restaurants that people were saying they couldn't get into weren't even really that popular. Good luck!

I was reading other posts and commonly saw people mention that they regretted doing too many ADR's for their trips (as a rookie mistake). It's got me a little worried...

I planned mostly ADR's because my 5 year old daughter is really shy & does not want to do any meet & greets (aside from Elsa) because she's is too scared to talk to the live characters within the short window of time they give you at M&G. She will warm up to the idea of characters, but it may take more than 10-15 minutes. So, I planned the character meals because I thought this was an easy way for her to see the characters from a distance if she wanted OR to interact with them (after seeing the other guests do so while the circulate the tables). I also thought this would be a nice FORCED sit down break.

Can you guys tell me if this is over doing it?

Day 1 - Arrive at Disney mid day - Dinner at Be Our Guest 445pm (then staying at MK)

Day 2 - Breakfast at O'Hana 730am (then off to MK), long afternoon break, then Dinner at The Crystal Palace 755pm (right before fireworks)

Day 3 - Breakfast at Tusker House 820am (then staying at AK), long afternoon break & then Dinner at 1900 Park Fare 635pm

Day 4 - Breakfast at Chef Mickey's 705 (then off to MK), long afternoon break, Dinner at The Wave 625pm (right before the pirates firework cruise)

Day 5 - Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine 805am (then staying at HS), long afternoon break, Dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe 7pm (right before fireworks show)

Day 6 - Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table 810am, then leaving Disney :(

I think that sounds about right, but even as a newbie I feel like you will spend the majority of your time eating. Those long afternoon breaks followed by food may make it so you did plan too much. If you allocate more time to the parks it might not feel that way.
