This is sooooo us right now. We recently decided to take a trip to WDW. Our trip starts in 219 days(Sept). To cut expenses we are driving this time. Airline tickets are just way out of hand. So we are going to have a road trip. I told my husband and daughter tonight that it was killing me to not make any lists yet. I just think it's too early. My husband keeps telling me he is too excited to sleep. And my kid is actually really excited about going. The last time we drove for a trip to WDW she was 6 and now she is 14 so that should be a thrill a minute. :) We can't wait!! I'm hoping they will do free dining but the reservationist said she didn't think it would happen. Bummer.

I go crazy too, my G/F and I are planning a trip for this May and nothing is even booked yet but i'm still getting really excited for it. Its funny because I was never a big Disney fan even when I went for a week in 2006 (went with my bro and happen to be cheerleading comp week, great times, lol) but since I went with my G/F last July I've become a WDW nutcase, lol. Shes always been a huge WDW fan but I think I've become even a bigger one and just thinking about being back there makes me go crazy, lol. Focus, whats that?

Oh man, I know how you feel. I just decided to plan MY first WDW vacation. (I say MY, because I've gone three times before, but I didn't plan those trips) for Novmember. I am super super stoked, and I am on this site like...14 hours a day.

We're going in May and I already have EVERYTHING taken care of!! Where we're going each day, where we're eating, printed out all of our ADR's, airline itinerary, car rental and I put them in a big manila envelope labeled DISNEY.. I even printed out menus from where we have ADR's so we can look before we go!! :animwink:
Haven't started packing yet but I'm sure the beginning of March I'll pull out the suitcase just to "be prepared"

I leave in just over 2 weeks and I have been revved up for 3 weeks now. I just can't wait to go. I feel like its been an eternity since I have been to the parks and it was last April. I need my Disney Fix and stat.

I feel you on this one! My boyfriend and I are about 184 days out. HELLOOO ADR's ON SUNDAY! But it's all I can think and talk about. My boyfriend isn't really a disneyholic like me and just laughs at me all the time.

This weekend we were driving in silence, and I turned to him and talked his ear off randomly about how important it was that we get the right time for Rose and Crown if we want to watch Illuminations. He's gonna have me committed I think!

Yeah, the week before always seems to stink more than any other week. It just seems to work that way:) It must be the anticipation of being completely on vacation and away from all the stuff that seems normal and mundane at home.

Ugh!! I woke up early this morning(5:30am) to get my kids on the bus on time, the bus forgot them...then I thought, ok, well since I'm up early, why not go for a great sunrise run??...I step out my front door to dark, gloom and slushy freezing rain...the sun probably won't shine at all today...

Ummmm, no wonder I'm going nuts to get to WDW!!!!

Today I PACK!!! Tomorrow I clean and shop! Then we're outta here baby!:sohappy:

While we are on the topic of getting excited and getting things done for disney (which I'm in the process of), does anyone have a packing list or a website with a good packing list on it? I always seem to forget something even though I am constantly planning. Thanks in advance!!

My husband loves Disney and is happy to go as often as we do, but I'm the Disney-aholic as well. I had the same concerns on our upcoming trip about getting the right time reservation at R&C to watch Illuminations, but I just didn't discuss it with him beyond the fact that I asked once if he agreed that it would be a good idea to eat there on this trip during Illuminations. After that, I bore all the stress of "getting the right time ADR" on my own so he wouldn't think I'd lost my mind! Btw, we got the "right time" and I'm psyched!

Mel I'm 195 days out and can't focus on anything but Disney! :ROFLOL: But I'm thinking that might have something to do with the fact that my family who is coming with us in Sept is coming over tonight so we can plan where we want to eat!!! :sohappy: 15 more days and I can book our ADR's!!!

I noticed alot of people using "ADR" as an abbreviation but its not on the abbreviation list so what does it mean? From the context its been used in I'm guessing "Advanced Dinning Reservations"?
