I am so glad that you had a good time and were wowed at least with Disney as a whole. As far as the dining program, I appreciate the info as my sister and brother in law want to go and werent sure which would be better the plan or just dining on thier own!!! Belle

In a phrase...DON'T DO IT !

Just returned from a week at WDW. I bought into the dining plan because it sounded like a good deal. The problem isn't with the math but with its execution. Disney obviously didn't think this plan out before launching it a few months ago. The plan is not user friendly. When you mentioned the plan to CM many just looked at you with a blank stare. You were often left on your own to figure out what was on the plan and what wasn't. Just to buy three boxes of popcorn was an chore. Vendors have to ring up your order individually and with 30 people behind you in line, no one appreciated it. Lest of all the poor girl behind the popcorn stand. Keeping track of your purchases was not always easy. Again, the snack portion receipt would not keep a running total of your tally. The bottom line is this...when your hot, tired and hungry the last thing you want to do is to decifer a dining plan gone horrible wrong. This is one ride that I'll never go on again!! I did get my monetary return on my investment but the grief factor weighed in heavily.

We ate at Tony's last month, and loved it! My 5 year-old daughter is extremely picky and would only eat pizza and Tony's was the only place in the MK we found with pizza so we tried it and were pleasantly surprised. My husband had the brick oven pizza (lunch) and I had the Ceasar salad, my daughter had the kid's pizza and my son had the raviolis (they were shaped like mickey heads - a huge hit!) . We ate on the front patio and watched people lining up to meet characters, it was a beautiful day and now we have a great memory of that.

My husband and I are returning without the kids next month and Tony's is on our Priority seating list. Can't wait!!!

Glad to read some good stuff about Tony's!

It FINALLY made it to my list of meals for the next trip!

This has to be the absolute last place for me to dine in WDW and the only reason is that I never remember about it until I am walking past it to get to the Main Street Bakery each morning!

Can't wait to try it and complete ( I am pretty sure! ) my dining tour of The World!!!

:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

well, i loved it being that Lady and the Tramp is my favorite movie and I was in bliss reliving the bella notte scene with my spaghetti and meatball, but I've eaten much better italian food here in ny. go for it though, it is pretty good all bias pushed aside

I like the atmosphere. I only eat outside though. I just love watching people go buy on Main Street and Especially when I was there in Decemeber for Christmas it was fantabulous.

We usually eat there at least once every trip, and we've never had a problem with it at all! The food and service are good, the atmosphere is nice, and if you can, request a seat on the patio outside.....that's a lot of fun.
Have a great trip!
