Tony's or Liberty tree tavern???

I'd pick Liberty Tree, but note that the lunch/dinner experiences are vastly different. For lunch, you'll find reasonably priced entrees like salads, noodles, pot roast, and other good ol' American favorites. At dinner, it's an All You Care to Enjoy meal that offers Thanksgiving-like food: turkey, potatoes, green beans, mac & cheese, etc. So it depends what you're looking for. Compare the menus!

As for Tony's, our experience with the food was decent, but nothing spectacular, and there are a lot of more superior Italian options in WDW. That's why I'd go with Liberty Tree.

I wouldn't consider either restaurant to be the source of a taste sensation, but between them, I'd choose LTT as well, especially if you're talking dinner (but I've had lunch there and it was fine, just not what I'd consider a destination). If you're talking about a night where you intend to eat dinner in MK and then close the joint down, stay until closing and maybe later than that, consider making early reservations at a place in one of the monorail resorts, avoiding a lot of the dinner craziness in the parks, then head back for the evening.

Done both, loved both - always hit Tony's for dinner once each visit - some say just okay as to food - but DW and I still love the spaghetti and meat balls. LT has been closed most of our last visits for some type of referb. - we usually do the Thanksgiving type of selection. Have not had a bad meal there either. However, we really prefer to go to a monorail resort for dinner when in the MK area. A spot of wine with dinner just hits the spot.

Like both restaurants but as stated by others never a bad meal at Liberty.
Normally have a reservation at both but if could only have one it would be LTT every time

If it were between the 2, the only reason to consider Tony's is if you can get a terrace seat during a parade.. other than that, hands down, LTT Dinner. How can you go wrong with Thanksgiving dinner??

Not that Tony's is bad.. it just isn't anything special. We enjoyed our meal there, but much prefer LTT.

Not sure why I'm replying since the matter is pretty much settled, but...

I might be one of the few people on the planet that actually liked Tony's. I'm certain that I'm the only one in my family that liked it. But even liking it, I must admit that it was a once-and-done thing. The only way I'd bother eating there again is if someone could guarantee us a patio table to watch the parade from.

Liberty Tree Tavern, on the other hand, is all but a must-do for every trip. Never a bad meal and each time we've eaten there we've been seated in a different room (Thomas Jefferson room on the most recent trip) which gives you plenty of stuff to look at. So yeah...LTT is your best bet.

I would say Liberty Tree Tavern, for sure. It's one of my family's favorites -- lovely ambiance, homestyle American favorites (usually done quite well -- e.g., meats are tender and juicy, veggies are crisp, and the mac & cheese is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, even if it is an unnatural orange hue), and we really like the all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style service, which makes it feel like we're having dinner at home (if our home was in Colonial New England, with servants).

Tony's is perfectly fine, too, with classic Americanized Italian dishes (e.g., chicken parm, calzones) but it offers less of a unique experience -- I'd describe the decor as, "Beverly Hills Pizza Hut" -- and doesn't transport you to another place and time in the way LTT does.

Haven't been to LTT but Tony's for lunch is a must on every trip. The trick is to sit outside and schedule to be there by noon. The sun is high so it stays relatively cool and the location is at the start of the parade route so it's like lunch and a show. The calamari, zucchini fries and scampi are all fantastic.

The daytime parade only runs at noon during high volume periods (Christmas and Easter week.)
