So, I'm literally walking out of the Hollywood amphitheatre as I type...

Tonight's fantasmic was stopped after about ten minutes in. All the lights went out rather abruptly and an announcement was played that said "due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to stop tonight's performance of fantasmic" it continued about 3 minutes later.... Any staff know why this was?

Also slightly of topic... The dragon is new right? Looks much more like murphy the Dl dragon... Thanks guys

The show can be stopped or paused for multiple technical reasons. It happens more so then you would think, thankfully they were able to continue to performance.

The dragon didn't get anything new. It's the same old horrible dragon. There could have been multiple reasons why the show stopped, either technical or entertainment situation was probably the case for tonight. I usually work there, and much of Sunset.

i posted a similar thread awhile back, when at the end of the show, the boat with the characters never came out. extremely disappointed. yet another attractions that tdo has let drop into terrible condition. not surprised at all to hear about the horrible shape of not only fantasmic, but other attractions also. pitiful that people pay almost 100 for a single day now.

What would an "entertainment situation" be?

It stopped really abruptly.... I know fantasmic is in bad shape but I've never experienced anything like that before.

Remove Fantasmic and install World Of Color. Then live happily ever after.

I like Fantasmic! better than WoC, so I would not be happy with that switch.

Then again, I'm one of those crazy people who just loves Fantasmic! and thinks it's the best nighttime show at WDW. When I'm advising people in their planning for WDW, I generally tell them that they don't want to miss this show and to plan their DHS time around it. I actually was pretty shocked when I started reading WDW message boards and found people slamming it. I don't understand what's not to like....

Yup same here! I personally think it's more entertaining than ROE, I have no idea why so many people absolutely love that show more than F! but they do. I understand people being upset about the less than stellar maintenance the show receives, but everything's been in pretty good working order recently, or at least it was when I saw it in December. I love the show because of it's unique hybrid of fireworks, water, projection, live performers, stunts, boats, among other things. It's such an elaborate production that while yes is in need of an upgrade is still a great show and it would be ashame to see it replaced with WOC. WOC is a great show but it's just fountains and projections. It's amazing don't get me wrong, but I'd hate to see F! replaced with it.

That's a horrible idea. World of Color is just watching animated movie scenes on fountains. It's bad enough in Fantasmic, but at least there are live action parts and fireworks as well. Fantasmic is a far more entertaining show then World of Color.

While I agree Fantasmic! is better, World of Color shouldn't be seen as just movie clips and fountains.
