It's nice that this seems so close, but, uh, when are they going to put some plantings in to block views of the muddy descent into the retention pond? Surely they don't want to open with it looking like that right after Fantasyland Station.

Is that really any worse than the drainage ditch along the backstretch?

Put those clunky new ECV’s on there…I’d love to see legitimate races with them where guests can’t be run over, although I would worry about the CM’s on the ride…

Roy was out testing yesterday too. Now that they have performed test runs with all 3 locomotives that are on-site, you’ve got to start thinking that the reopening is within reach.

Still at Strasburg. Not sure about his current state, but he’s got to be getting close to being done. I think there’s a good chance that he’ll be back between now and the next 6 months.

Roy has always been my favorite, being the oldest and also a 4-4-0.

Also seems like they should be talking this up on social media. A quick scroll through WDW's Twitter and I didn't see it mentioned. I know the train isn't a huge draw, but it seems like a good positive announcement they could be leveraging.
