In cars that spew fumes....Yes, including waiting in long lines in idling cars during the Energy Crisis.
Sorry, I know I will catch hell for this, but coming out of that tunnel and seeing a cement wall doesn't give me a feeling of railroading in the 1800s. I get it is a simple train ride, but again what you see from that train was so much more important on October 1, 1971.

I was just thinking feeling the same,,,talk about the end of any sense of show or trying at all.Sorry, I know I will catch hell for this, but coming out of that tunnel and seeing a cement wall doesn't give me a feeling of railroading in the 1800s. It's all coming together so quickly?I kinda wish there was no massive wall between the main pathway to tron and the rr, but get why they separated it. Its all coming together so quickly, love seeing the last of the major ground pours getting caged in.
I have it on good authority that user J4546 is, in fact, a Galapagos tortoise who literally had a great moment with Mr. Lincoln as a youth. It's all coming together so quickly?
I don't know that I would describe any part of this as quickly![]()
I do wonder if the lights in the tunnel will sync with the canopy..
From day one on the WDWRR you could see the Contemporary from the train. That doesn't exactly scream steam railroading either.Sorry, I know I will catch hell for this, but coming out of that tunnel and seeing a cement wall doesn't give me a feeling of railroading in the 1800s. My point was that the entire run was never themed to a certain era and an unpainted concrete wall in an active construction site isn't ruining an otherwise pristine illusion of the 19th century. Especially when just past this point is the bottom of Space Mountain with more concrete..Comparing a distant view of a themed resort to a cement wall that is next to the tracks is interesting.
