Interesting. We were at MK a few years back and someone had left a ratty pink princess backpack sitting by a trash can just off MSUSA. I reported it to a CM in one of the stores and they took a look at it and called security, but did not usher people away from the area, etc.

I wonder if there could have been more to this than a simple abandoned parcel. Then again, some people do get rather testy when they run out of churros.

FB and Twitter are saying Bomb-scare - just reposting what I'm seeing online. Seems the issue is over and TL is back open.

Please dont repeat the same unconfirmed and unsubstantiated BS that people are throwing out there.

Describing this as a "bomb scare" or "bomb threat" is unprofessional, sensational and completely unnecessary without hard, quotable information to back that with.

This is confirmed through internal communications. Happens quite often just not to this magnitude.

Attractions are resuming operation currently.

I'm gonna need an on-the-record source here. Because I have no idea who you are and I havent seen these "internal communications." So you'll have to understand that the wire services I work with have (as well as my own standards) a sourcing policy when it comes to things like this. I'm very careful how I characterize these things as to not to be sensational or cause hysteria.

To me, it sounds merely like an unattended package which is completely different from a "bomb threat."

Unattended packages are found on property every single day. However, they do not lead to evacuating and closing off an entire land unless there was some type of substantial evidence to support that the package could indeed be a bomb.

Yes but that doesnt prove anything.

And in my world? You don't use a sensational word like "bomb" unless you have something solid to back it up. There's a responsibility to the public here. You don't necessarily cause a panic.

Think of it in the same way of why you don't yell fire in a movie theater. You don't say "bomb" or "bomb threat" unless you 100% have someone on the record & quoted saying it is.
