Tomorrowland Overhaul Speculation

David Koeing talked about Tomorrowland will finally get its rehab. That puts groundbreaking at least seven years from now, with the refresh planned to take another two years. On the wish list: demolishing the Innoventions carousel building, Autopia, and possibly the subs. Although the latter two are sentimental favorites, they cover a huge amount of acreage that could accommodate two more marketable E-ticket attractions that, most importantly, can relieve the inevitable crush in Star Wars Land and better spread out the crowds.

There are no plans to move Star Tours. The Jedi show, however, could easily be relocated when Star Wars Land opens, once again freeing up Tomorrowland Terrace for live bands.

Don't forget the new Tomorrowland Space Bar!
Every new land gets a place to drink along with two new gift shops filled with expensive merch.

That's not a "Jet Pack" ride. That's a "Flying Egg Ride For Communist Party Members Desperate For Entertainment".

And it sits on the ground and does that? No wonder I've never wanted to go to Shanghai Disneyland. What with the Godless Communism and the Two Million citizens kept in re-education camps and police beating up college kids in Hong Kong and all, this Flying Egg ride isn't pushing me over the edge.

I'll keep my Asian itineraries to Japan, thanks.
Have you seen Shanghai's daytime parade called "Mickey's Storybook Express"?

Where / when did Koeing say this? And what is with the future tense of "When Star Wars Land opens..."?

What's with the mutant Doopy?
Mutant Dopey? That's actually Dopey being carried by Sneezy wearing the outfit from the "Silly Song" scene from the film.
lf

That Dopey was also first used for Tokyo Disneyland's Happiness is Here Parade (which also feature a float for The Aristocats) and later at Walt Disney World's Festival Of Fantasy Parade.

Except the mutant Doopy is as tall as the other dwarves. (and most of the guests)

You mean “pecks” to play the dwarves?
You know what bugs me about the current park appearances of the Seven Dwarfs? Their clothes (Minus Dopey) aren't accurate to their original clothes from the original film.

At least their older designs from the 1960's looked a bit closer to the original film but they got the colors wrong.

I am glad they have these names than the other they were going to use.
