Tomorrow Land The Movie?

And it's funny because the first time I went to WDW that happened to me almost exact. And the lines were almost touching the door.

See my problem is the rock is gonna be in this. I feel like this movie has a lot to work with but if they use too much inspiration from disney character based attractions ( toy story , monsters inc , stitch *ugh*) it's gonna be an instant flop. They need a well around futureistic space comedy with tommarowland as the main area. And if you don't have Sunny Eclipse in this (His Singer and all) , there's no point in making this film. There's my 2 cents. If it goes well all I can see is sucess (even with the rock being in it , ugh) and shaping tommarowland more or so towards "the future". If not as everyone else thinks .... mega flop.

Also I still love and appreciate the underapprciated Haunted Mansion Flick , call it what you want but I felt like it was well made and Eddie Murphey is awesome in it.

I must be the only one who doesn't find these long type of "narrative jokes" funny, because they always seem to get a "ROFL" (and various other presumably positive internet slang I don't understand) response here. Maybe it's just me, but all I ever think is, "trying too hard."

To reiterate, this movie is pointless.

There's a show called FUTURAMA, and it makes the idea for this movie incredibly laughable-even more so than the weak story put out thus far.

I think the movie sounds like it will be a mess, too, but this argument falls a bit flat. So the movie is pointless because it's already been done by Futurama? So we should eliminate entire genres after the first film released in each of them (or in this case, TV series)? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Especially given that *gasp* not everyone cares for Futurama.

Like I said, I'm not expecting much--but I've been wrong in the past. I thought the first PotC would be a disaster when I heard about the concept, and it turned out to be a great summer popcorn flick. Hopefully Disney will prove me wrong here.

Futurama? It's a comparrison that is almost painful in it's lack of reality.

And saying this movie is useless is like saying "Up" is useless because somebody has already done Around the World in 80 Days. I don't see the comparisson at all.

That's more or less my point. Even if they bore a closer resemblance, who cares? There are plenty of films with similar plots, that doesn't make them pointless. To me, the subtle nuances of a film are important too, and in that regard, you'll never have two films that are exactly like.

Plus, what makes a film "pointless"? Isn't the only "utility" in a movie entertainment (I haven't seen many movies fixing cars, curing cancer, or completing any other purposes)? So as long as the movie entertains at least one person, it has accomplished its "point".

They put out a story? To answer my own question, no they haven't.

I love how the concept of portraying an optimistic future is tweaking the doom and gloom crowd (not talking about you).

Walt Disney would be proud of the concept being put forward by his company.

And Dwayne Johnson will be proud to star in it.
And from there, down hill it goes....:lookaroun:lol::lol:

I guess youv'e lost me. You are the one who said this concept was "useless" and then you say that if a movie even entertains one person........:veryconfu:shrug::hammer::dazzle:

I'm not the one who said it was useless ("pointless"), that was EpcotServo. I responded to his post.

The reason I make the comparison is, to borrow an idiotic phrase, "almost painful" in how close is it to the basic plot of a great TV show.

Fifty dollars says the entire movie will be the following gag for two hours...

"That thing, in the future! It's absurd! Right, folks?"

I'm SAYING they won't do with the plot what Futurama did with the plot, which was be smart...and funny. Also entertaining.

No.

Answered in my above section, and what I meant by POINTLESS was meaning "POINTLESS in proceeding further, for I see this leading nowhere good, even if they do everything right."

Like remaking Clash of the Titans.
