But the soundtrack didn't. The characters didn't. Splash Mountain was an amazing ride and it attracted fans for 30 years. Nobody should be shocked that this ride was so popular. It's no different than Pirates or Mansion attracting new fans to this day. Good art is timeless.

I just don’t see the point in continuing to moan about this indefinitely. I see your tweets on my timeline pretty often and it’s all you talk about.

Splash is gone and it’s never coming back (in America and probably the world soon enough). It was a great ride, one of the best ever, and Disney made a monumental mistake axing it. But continuing to prolong this conversation isn’t going to do anything but make people sick of you.

If TBA was even close to the quality of Splash I think you have seen 80% less complaints.

I think many (not all) fans would have forgiven Disney if the replacement for Splash met or exceeded its caliber. Yes, it would’ve been a high bar to clear, but TBA doesn’t even come close IMO.

The Tokyo replacement will almost certainly be better than TBA. It may even be on par with Splash in terms of quality. But since it's the last and best Splash, it should stay.

For what it’s worth, I’ve been given zero reason to believe this. There is a clear emotional/nostalgic factor that goes far beyond the ride quality of either attraction, which is why I’ve mostly checked out of these conversations.

I understand WHY Disney made their decision but I don't necessarily agree with it nor do I think Splash was an "evil racist ride" that had to leave.

Even if only a small amount of people thought it was an "evil racist ride" Disney had no choice but to remove.

I will predict the new SPLASH will be updated based off Bambi. The new film is coming out (live action) and it's abundant with adorable woodland creatures.

I wouldn’t be hitting the panic button over this. Closing this small shop is likely due to saving on labour costs for a store that just sells a small quantity of generic park merch. Mickey’s Gift Station at the TTC closed for similar reasons.

No reason to keep the store open if Disney isn’t producing Splash merch.

in simple terms the shop only operates what 5 hours a day, And it doesn’t really generate money unlike other shops.

Disney wants Splash erased from the earth.

TWDC will be paying OLC a LOT of MONEY to bribe them to erase Splash.

I am confident Tokyo will look at Tiana as an example of how NOT to replace it and come up with something really GREAT.
