Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

“frequently”???

How about highly infrequent as in isolated cases.

AK packed and studios empty or vis versa ….no way
Or Mk stuffed to the gills and Epcot a ghost town…..that is wholly unrealistic.

Disneyland slammed and DCA desolate(post 2012)……. I don’t see it.

The scenario you label frequent is most definitely not the case. Overwhelmingly the distribution of guest on properties is more evened out whereby one park could be busy and another park a bit less busy. The extremes just aren’t there.

Yes, frequently… every single day in fact at WDW.

What does AK look like end of day versus Epcot and MK? I know that’s a structural problem with night entertainment, but park hopping significantly exacerbates it. You go to AK in the morning and then hop to see the night entertainment somewhere else.

With how parade and show driven Tokyo guests are, it would be a major challenge if people were hopping with regularity.

I’m not criticizing WDW, it’s built to handle it for the most part. Epcot in particular, sort of the whole reason World Showcase used to have a deferred opening. It’s built to swell towards end of day.

But Tokyo is not. Just as @Markiewong says above. There’s a reason the entrances to the parks are not across a plaza from one another.

Your scenario above is accurate, mostly. But as a reminder and to be fair about this come near closing time all parks typically experience less guests than earlier times

Here’s what will not happen during core park hours, EVER:
(excluding some terribly unique and isolated explanation)

Flight of Passage with a 120 minute wait
Rise of Resistance with a 10 minute wait

Remy Rat with a 85 minute wait
Space Mnt with a walk on

Radiator Spring Racer with a 95 minute wait
Indiana Jones with a 5 minute wait

Those extremely polarized waits within their respective resorts, again outside of some unique event, are a de facto imposibility.

Osmosis—guest style….It’s the natural flow of things both within a specific park and multi park resorts.

Guests behave like water molecules ………..move from high, concentrated crowding toward lower concentrated areas until the parks in the same resort reach some generalized equilibrium.

Do you know if there are any plans to re-open Mermaid Lagoon Theater in the future?
short answer no. but with recent trends on Tokyo Disney stage shows its not going to be surprising if they announce a brand new stage show when the theater finally opens.

We still haven't gotten an audition from Tokyo Disney or Disney parks auditions for the specific show.
I've said this in the past as well The empty theaters of Disney Sea still doesn't have sponsors in it.
If the Mermaid Lagoon does indeed get a brand new sponsor there would be a higher chance that it could re-open sooner.

What information we got last year is that they are hiring a face character for Dr. facilier for an unannounced Tokyo Disneyland autumn show/Parade(Halloween).

Everything about this project is just perfect

I wouldn’t go that far……….. theme(s) sorely disappoints: 2 out of 3 ‘lands’ are overused and found all over the Disney globe and all 3 have nothing to do with oceans/seas/traditional exploration.

such a lazy choice thematically for Fantasy Springs.

Now execution of this woeful theme(s) will be first class mind blowing commensurate with the quality we expect from the best park on the planet.

At least the hotel is novel within the Disney universe.
