Tokyo Disney has cracked down on Disney Vlogging, would you want the US parks to follow suit?

It's not just thr vloggers who do this..... .
It's everyone else who does not have a youtube.......or they are looking for their next genie plus ride.....
Dis created this problem in a, I want it now world, people can't even wait to get off their ride.
It's sad.
No, its not just the vloggers but regular guests are being rude out of ignorance. When vloggers do it, they're monetizing their rudeness on purpose.

The owner wasn't the one that got hurt. The owner of the phone caused the girl to get hurt. That's why I hate people having their phones out on rides.

Yes I know Pirates is not the same as Iron Gwazi but I still think there is no need to have your phone out on a ride.
But nothing in the article says the owner had their phone out. It may well have fallen out of their pocket. The ride owners should make sure nobody has a phone on that ride because they pose a danger. How did the phone owner get their phone past park security?

I agree there is no NEED to have a phone on a ride. Well, in theory. Disney's sending very mixed messages these days. WDW rewards G+ users who immediately sign up for their next G+ pass. If you snooze, you lose.

The current system also rewards people for checking their phones frequently.

Disney isn't going to get rid of vloggers. They invite the vloggers to special events and previews so that they can use the vloggers to create promotional videos for them, for free. The amount of free advertising that Disney gets from vloggers is staggering.

Seems to be less and less of the typical vloggers though. More of the ones attached to travel agencies or major sites seem to get the access now. I would never consider DFB or All ears vloggers though. Their production and editing puts sites like that way above and beyond the selfie style park tours.

I have said this before but I truly think Disney will be done handing out access to most of these people when live streaming on Disney + is more utilized. That way they can have their own very attractive and super diverse cast present their own information accurately and obviously build up everything with no criticism.

So is there any evidence that there has actually been a change of policy at Tokyo? I just went back on the Internet Wayback Machine and checked a snap shot of the rules page from 2019, any the stuff that would prohibit vlogging was there back then. So it doesn't look like anything has actually changed? Has there been any reports of Disney actually stopping vlogging or streaming?

I'd like to think if Disney we're a little more hands on with their content, I doubt we'd get many vloggers doing what they do in the parks. It's crazy to think this, but if they released POV videos of ALL their attractions and I mean proper well-made ones, no one would bother watching anyone else's. Same if they released walk around videos, I'd love to watch a people free video of someone doing a full walk around of all the parks before guests enter, and one just after all the guests have left in the evening... The list goes on. But if these videos existed, there's not much point for other people to record them when the "official" thing exists. Would any of this happen? Very likely not.

I'm just trying to say. If Disney we're to release video's like this, there wouldn't be much point in people filming their own video when a far better quality video already exists.

I'd actually be elated if all mobile phone use was kept to an absolute minimum in the parks. Mainly because I feel like people don't seem to stop and "take it in" any more. It's all viewed through a mobile/tablet screen, which is a shame. I know people do it to capture memories, though. The more technology evolves, the more wearable tech becomes and people can just walk around capturing stuff without needing to whip out their phone to record something.

I don't think that would make much difference. There are plenty of high quality videos out there of every show and attraction at Disney and yet people continue to watch live streams and vlogs. Vlogger and and streamers built up an almost celebrity following so it's not just about seeing videos of the park, it's about being part of the streamer or vloggers community. When it comes to vlogs that review things, people don't necessarily want to hear what Disney has to say, they want to hear what their favorite vlogger has to say.

If people would stop giving these people gifts and money, many of them would go away. Kyle Pallo, for example, actually does a video from time to time where he opens up all the gifts and gift certificates people give him. I’ve lost count of how many free cruises he has had so far and he’s gotten so obnoxious that I can’t even watch anymore.
Who?

Most vloggers are incredibly annoying. I understand Disney has a relationship with some of them because they use them as advertising, but I'm baffled that people make money leaching off another company like that. It's obnoxious.

If Disney didn't like it, they would have shut it down already. Truth is it's free advertising though, so not likely to change any time soon.

I'm fine with them filming in the parks. I'm not a big fan of filming on rides. I don't care if you're a vlogger or just your average guest.
