Big yes. I decorate my hotel window every visit. I have since 2003.
I was inspired when i visited the previous year, and saw someone had decorated their pool side room window with a large drawing of Figment and a big *Welcome Home Figment!* sign above it. It was 2002, the year the Imagination attraction re-opened with Figment added back into the mix.
Seeing what was obviously a simple fan made tribute displayed in the window made me think about maybe doing my own display next time. Now it has grown into a major mini-display that gets brought out each time i come to town.
It was several years later that i learned that i was not alone in wanting to decorate my room window.
Usually i stay at All Star Music, which has a nice big window to get creative with.
I have a large custom made collage of old retro WDW photos that i made up a few years ago, along with a few other random Disney related images, that goes up every time i am in town. All the photos are mounted on a large folding piece of posterboard that fits into a carry on rollaway bag. It takes only about 10 to 15 minutes to put up the entire display.
It is usually the first thing that i do when i check into my room, and the last thing i do the night before i leave is to take it down. It is now one of the *traditions* i do when i am rooming at the All Stars.
I use suction cups to hold the items to the window, as i prefer not to use any tape as it can leave residue and i am sure Mousekeeping would rather not have to deal with sticky windows.
The suction cups work better then tape anyway, as the humidity and heat from the window glass does not effect them like tape is sometimes effected.
I never do lights....or holiday related stuff....just the massive photo collages that sing the praises of WDWs past. I also usually bring a small selection of PVC toy figures that are arranged on the inner window sill.
Over the years i have created a couple of different versions of the window display.
One of the more memorable ones was the collage i did for EPCOTs 25th Anniversary.
My most recent is a nostalgic collage, with media and photos from WDWs 40 year history.
I have found that decorating the window serves a handy double-purpose.
Not only does it bring a little Magic to whoever may be strolling by and witness it, but, it sure makes finding your room a LOT easier to find in a large building with hundreds of rooms that all look alike late at night!
