Trip Report 'Tis the Season to be Jolly... at WDW! 🎄 - Live- *COMPLETED*

Another adventure is about to begin for Frank and me, starting tomorrow!
We are very excited, for this is our favorite time of the year at our favorite place in the World! We've been looking forward to this trip since we booked it back in January.

When: Dec 1 -Dec 9
Where: Bay Lake Tower
Who: Frank and Nunu

The last few days have been crazy, my friends, like they always are for us (mostly me!) trying to get everything in order here at home, including leaving my beloved turtle Domenica under JC's care. You don't want to know how that went with her in the car today, she was trying to get out of her "house" while I was driving! And to make things more nerve wracking, Frank had to travel to Mexico this morning and I was afraid that something might delay him and that, could've complicated our departure tomorrow morning.

Fortunately, he landed an hour ago, so things are looking good so far, phew!

Frank and me, last December

Our immediate plans are:
Fly tomorrow into Miami, lunch at Aventura Mall (between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale) buy some necessities and stay the night.

Sunday morning we drive from there into Orlando. Those who followed us on our April/May trip, might remember about our highway scare, so this time around, we're hoping to check-in at our WDW Home, without any incidents at around 10am.

We commented about how natural it felt to be meeting like this, @Loco_driver said that A, who is such a sweet girl, had asked about us, he told her not to worry, that he'd seen me in pictures and that I'm small. And that, if things got "weird", they could take me down!

We had a great time getting to know each other and felt at ease from the get go. Time flew by and we talked and laughed until we were "kicked out" from the place!
Time came to say our goodbyes and hug each other again.

It was such a pleasure to have met @Loco_driver and A. Frank and I hope our paths cross again in the near future!

It is slightly unsettling, when you think about it, how natural it feels when meeting another Magician.

It's amazing how our shared love for Disney, has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people.

I never thought I'd be meeting new friends this way, It's great!

The small room (alcove), can be separated with a curtain for privacy. It's on the left, when you enter the lounge.

What a great evening that was! We had such a good time visiting you guys. It felt like meeting up with old friends we just hadn’t seen in a while, rather than meeting new friends! Can you believe we visited for 3 hours?! Looking forward to our paths crossing again someday my friends!

Oh my, I have relatives from/in Prague, but, only my folks and our oldest DD and SonIL have visited there, so far. Such a beautiful city...!!!

My wife and I were just in Prague this summer. Beautiful indeed!!!

Catching up on what was left unreported.

Back to Sunday December 8

After our lunch at Teppan Edo and going back to The Boardwalk to get more of those yummy Coconut Macaroons, we took a stroll at the boardwalk. It was a beautiful night. We enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Then it was back to EPCOT to visit some of our favorite World Showcase pavillions. We commented about how each of the different country's Holiday decorations, are all unique and beautiful. Germany's is our favorite, specially at night!

Caramel apples were being prepared.

Timing was perfect for our only FP for the day.

When we got to the Mexico pavillion, we went inside and took a nice boat ride.

Our park day ended with a quick visit to the EPCOT Experience.
It was interesting to see what the future holds for this park, specially after being greeted and sorrounded by so many walls and construction allover Future World.

I have to say we were impressed by this interactive model of EPCOT. Very cool presentation!

This vintage map was on display.

I remember getting one of these, on my first visit to WDW on January 1983, with my grandmother. Good memories!

Monday, December 9
Check-Out Day

Check-out day came, as it always does, sooner than we'd like. We had such a good time at BLT and hope to stay there again, soon.

We had a half a day visit to AK planned. I've always liked AK's Christmas tree, it's so unique!

Holiday decorations are nicely done and go perfectly with the park's theme. These puppet animals are part of the new Holiday offerings, we're glad we had the chance to see them up-close.

Time for a FP I had to get up for, at 5am, local time!
Yep, you guessed it! Flight of Passage.

The FP line was pretty much empty.

Upon exiting FOP, we stopped to take pictures with the mechanized suit. (Frank told me it's not a robot, I had no idea! ).

Anyway, dude offers to take our picture. Very nice of him, right? Well, things got weird. He told us to make different poses (?), oook.
We had a feeling he wasn't happy with our "performance" because he wouldn't stop asking for more and more poses.
We didn't know what else to do with ourselves, as you can see from these two pictures!

What are we doing here?!

And what about this?! Looking into space?

The interaction with Dude, took longer than desired. How awkward!
