Tips needed for my boss's trip

I just found out that my boss is going to Disney in two weeks. I told him I would make a list of pointers for him since it is his first time there. Disney can be frustrating for people that don't do their homework and I am trying to help him as much as possible.

I have already told him that there is more than one park. And I talked him out of getting the 6 day Universal Passes.

What are your tips in bullet format? I don't want to miss something obvious.

  • explain transportation options
  • highlight major don't-miss attractions to be sure he sees them
  • FASTPASS
  • sample park touring plans
  • be honest in your evaluations of attractions
I'm sure there are many other things people will list.

Be sure and ask for a raise! :)

Buy (and read) a guide book - The Unofficial Guide is my favourite

I agree....this is also my favorite book. I also always tell first timers to get a copy of the Passporter and to take it with them to WDW. While the Unofficial Guide has alot more info, I think the Passporter is less overwhelming for a newbie, especially if his trip is in only two weeks. It is an easy read and has great info on each attraction at each park.

First, I'm not singling out this post that I have quoted, but it did make me curious... Is it a generally accepted opinion here that Wishes and Fantasmic are "better" than Illuminations? Just curious :) That may be another thread for another day, thought ;)

I think my biggest tip is, especially if you're travelling with kids and have more than a day at WDW - take a break in the middle of the day. And if you don't feel tired, take a break in the middle of the day, anyway :)

Oh, and don't forget to relax... you're on vacation, and Disney isn't closing anytime soon...

Book a reservation now if you plan on dining out.
Get park hoppers if you want to go to multiple parks.
Fast Passes don't cost money.
Bring sunscreen.
There's more than just rides, stop and enjoy the live entertainment.
The 3pm parade is at 3pm.
Keep an eye open for hidden mickeys.
Check for extra magic hours.

Have him read the Unofficial Guide and have him check out their website too for further updated info. Or have him sign up for TGM.com

Key word is opinion. I don't care for Illuminations is all.

Take me.... I'll show them around!:ROFLOL:

No really, Allearsnet.com is wonderful and reading The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World is very helpful as well.
