I'm sorry. I will try to be more clear. We would like tips from folks that have stayed at this resort. Example: I was told to watch the Fire Rock Geyser while we are at Wilderness Lodge. It shoots water 120 feet into the air every hour until 10:00pm. I thought that was a great tip and look forward to watching it. We would like to know if a higher level floor would be better as well. Really looking forward to staying here and want to learn as much as we can. Thank you for your help @DisneyPrincess5

Sincerely,
Lloyd Christmas

Ok, got it now. Thanks!

DH and I stayed at Wilderness Lodge for our honeymoon in 2013 and absolutely loved it. We had a courtyard view room and stayed on the 4th or 5th floor I believe. We felt very cozy and comfy in our room. Beautiful views of the pool and lake.
We loved Roaring Fork at every meal which is the quick service dining spot. If you can, get a reservation at Artist Point. Absolutely delicious. Whispering Canyon is a hoot with good food too. Take time to ride the boat to MK. Really check out the details in the lobby. Many hidden Mickeys and it's just generally grand and impressive.

ENJOY!

Not sure what it will be like, but being from a construction family I got a kick out of watching construction across the way in the wing being converted to DVC...loved trying to guess what they were doing! Courtyard view depending on where you are varies...in August we were on the 6th floor close to the main part of the resort (as opposed to being closer to the pool/lake, so our geyser views were somewhat obstructed. That being said, it was great to check out the pool (and pool bar ;)) to judge crowds before going down. With only one wing open, you won't have a room with potential MK views.

Thank you @DisneyPrincess5 . We are looking forward to Artist Point!
@bunnyman Thank you. I have heard about the construction. Hopefully it's not too much of an inconvenience.
Was no inconvenience at all. In fact, it really reduced the crowds at the the restaurants (we ate at Artist Point one night), snack bar, pool area, and buses (had a couple of bus trips all to ourselves).

I was a little confused about what kind of tips you were looking for too. Take the time to enjoy the resort, explore, look for hidden Mickeys, and be sure to go over to the villas and check out the Iron Spike room.
Rent a bicycle and ride over to Fort Wilderness and ride through the campsites. Eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe, but don't ask for ketchup. Enjoy the pool. See if they have any openings for flag family. Have a coffee while sitting in front of the fireplace. Find some of the hidden sitting places and enjoy the view. Take the resort guided tour.
Take the boat over to the Contemporary, then go resort hopping to the monorail resorts....so many things to do, so little time.
