$5-$10 a day thats a lot of money. That would be $70 or $140 dollars for our two week stay! That is an awful lot of money. What are the unions like in the USA? from what I have been reading, it seems that the wage is around $3? Our Unions wouldn't stand for this. Here is our miniumum wage. How does this compare to the US?

£3.60 ($5.85) per hour, increasing to £3.80 ($6.17) per hour in October 2003

£4.20 ($6.81) per hour, increasing to £4.50 ($7.30) per hour in October 2003

DJMatthews--Disney has a "newspaper" you get when you check in. It usually gives tipping guidelines. This reflects which employees are paid via TIPS. Waiters, skycaps, bellhops, valets and taxi/limo drivers are paid very little per hour (not sure of FL laws). They are paid less than minimum wage, tips bring them up. You really should plan on 15-20% tips for food purchases.

Housekeeping tips are NOT the same. Many people chose to tip, certainly makes sense if you're a family that goes through a lot of towels and other wise get extra servcie.
