Tinks new flight rigging coming to WDW rumor

I dont think this is true because the lighting on the castle would make it not look real and you would be able to see the wires durning the show.. if this is true then the castle lighting would have to go unless they come up with a new system..

The rig at DL is less visible somehow because it is behind the castle and not attached to it. The line coming from the Mattahorn kind of suggests gondola or the old magic skyway.Your eye is distracted from it by the castle foreground and you forgive it from the mountain. At Florida's Magic Kingdom, the sloping line projecting from the castle towards the viewer is somewhat of is a "bad show" in that it smacks of clothes line for a princess locked in the tower. It is more of a visual, "Hey what is that?". I have heard many a kid say that very thing in the plaza at florida but not at DL.

Leave it in CA, Tink should fly to the castle though.

I have seen the show at Disneyland a few times and while it is an impressive feat from an engineering standpoint it is not all that great from a show point. The many cables and rigging above Tink are very visible and at times Tink looks like she has been drinking as she blows around in pretty random path when being blown by the wind and gets turned around the wrong way (happened every time I have seen the show). To me the rigging was extremely visible, to the point of being distracting since it was in your whole left to right field of vision. Since Cindy's place is quite a bit taller and there is no Matterhorn the problem of having the rigging higher than the castle presents some issues. Having more roof fired pyro at WDW causes even more issues.

What I would love them to do is reverse Tink's flight path so she flys up to the castle, waves her "sparkly wand' and has a cascade of strobe lights go down the front of the castle to start the show (while she ducks inside to get out of harm's way). Of course to do this they would have to add a second cable and have it powered by a winch to pull her up to the castle, hopefull without making it too visible.

i saw think in DL last year, and the minute i saw her i thought, "we need that in florida!"
it seems like it would be extremely hard to pull off in wdw, but lets remember that we are talking about a place that creates magic, daily!
