How about putting the flying saucers in... but keeping the timekeeper as well. So you're riding on you're flying saucer as you watch Timekeeper. :)

Well hey now... ok so your right

We all knew the day would come when they would replace Timekeeper. I don't remember going on it before, but it will supposedly be open when I go in April so I will check it out. I don't mind the idea of a replacement (I know it's a fav for most, but it's attendance has slipped, supposedly), but I would hate to see it replaced with bumper cars. You can get those at any amusement park and it just doesn't seem original enough for Disney.

Now wouldn't that be nifty....

To have a Toy Story 3 themed 360 Degree Theater Attraction.. ;)

Just an idea that I would personally love.

I'd like to take my idea and expand.

The theater could be Andy's new Snow Globe. 360 Degree view of his room and his toys come up and talk to us. Greeting us and welcoming. Then we could be taken somewhere and things could happen to us. The idea of a ' snow globe ' is lame.. But if someone could think of another idea.. That would be great. :)

I think that's actually pretty cool. You may even be able to keep Timekeeper and say that he's also in the globe with us, as if we were souveneers (sp?). We could also be a somewhat clear glass globe and have them pointing at us. Lots of things are round that you could do something like that to, but I especially like the snow globe idea

Have someone shake us and have snow fall on the screen. Things get tossed around in the theater.

That's a good idea, but what in the world does it have to do with Tomorrowland? Great idea for something like the Studios though.

As for Timekeeper replacement, I'd like something to be done with it. A 3D attraction with motion based seats would be fun. Or at least put in an attraction based on TRON, what a ride that would make! It could be done in many different ways.

The whole reason for the 360 Theater is for you to STAND and rotate yourself to your angle.. Not have a pre-progammed motion based seat.

Bumper Cars don't belong in a Theme Park and Toy Story has nothing to do with the future. (Buzz lightyear the cartoon does though).

New Circle Vision films should be made or a new dark ride should come. But I rather just have an updated Timekeeper. Or maybe Journey to the Center of the Earth could be built there.

So you're saying that Walt, who invented the concept of the theme park was wrong to put in bumpercars? Because, he put in the flying saucer bumpercars in Disneyland.

Also, the little green guys are a part of the Buzz lightyear of Star command cartoon, so they could be part of this ride.

I don't think JTTCOTE would fit. We're talkin Indy/CTX (Dinosaur)size. There's not enough room. Now if we got rid of the Speedway...
Sorry different thread.

No, there is a difference between bumper cars and flying saucers. One is cute and you don't see at every amusement park and the other has been done to death. While I also wouldn't like to see the flying saucers in WDW, I would prefer them to bumper cars and I could see how they relate to the area, where bumper cars I can't.

Well, using the term Bumpercars doesn't mean we expect them to be Coney Island style bumper cars. At the very least they will be decorated appropriatly. I would hope........

Keep Timekeeper

Isn't there an "Around the World in 80 Days" movie coming out? I wonder if any of the theme parks are going to pick that up as basis for an attraction.

Creating a 3-D attraction would be great. T2-3D uses 3 screens, and Philharmagic is essentially a 3 screen set-up (although it is projected onto a single, seamless screen.) So the idea of multiple-angle 3D has been used, but imagine taking that into a 360* environment. That seems like it would definitely draw big crowds, helping relieve lines at Space Mountain and future Stitch. And that theater size allows for a decent capacity.

Robin Williams becomes more popular and successful with each passing year, they should find a way to keep him incorporated.

Bumper cars would be better suited for a Toon Town attraction.

Bumper Boats

For those of you so enthusiastic about a bumper car attraction, here's an idea:

Put a bumper boat attraction in the current 20,000 Leagues lagoon. :brick:

That would be kinda eerie ...looking down and seeing some track and artifacts from the original 20,000 ride.

Maybe they could open up the 20,000 show building with a rehab and allow people to drive their own "boats" through the attraction. That would be interesting. The first attraction that you truly "drive" yourself ...with more freedom of movement than Speedway.

When they open the attraction, you can all thank me.
