I was reading on another site that there was a rumor Timekeeper would be closing and a new "little green men" ride would be put there. The site said that the attraction would be a bumper car type ride and be themed around the little green men from Toy Story. Anyone have an inside scoop on this????????

Right now the possibility of it getting built is pretty slim. Tommorowland is already getting a new attraction (stich), and they are rumored to be tearing down the theater there. By the time the window of opportunity comes for them to open up the bumper cars, there may be a new topic or idea that would be a better use for the space.

Right now they are keeping it "as is", as a good "seasonal" attraction to help croud loads during times of high volume or closed attractions.

Please God, don't get rid of Timekeeper...Bumper Cars?? That sounds like a load of crap to me. I mean bumper cars?? They could definetley come up with something WAY better than bumper cars. Robin Williams is awesome...

i havent been on Timekeepers in years so i cant comment on whether they should give it the boot or not. But why keep it seasonal? Why keep any ride seasonal? Is it that much of a cost factor to keep them open? Seems to me that if they were open and right there in tomorrow land people would ride them all the time.

That would suck. We already have them right next door at Buzz...and they are preused characters. I want something new that's original for once. Like Timekeeper. Come on, WDI, you can do better than this!! :D

Plus, there's a bumper car style Buzz ride at DisneyQuest.

I agree...but I don't think WDI has too much space to work with...or do they?

I dont think they would overwealm tommrowland with Toy Story things, BUUUUUUUUUUUUT...rumor has it that they are making a toy story 3 (without pixar), and it would be good timing to open the ride at the same time.

Lets hope it doesnt happen tho :)

Well, Putting in Bumper cars would have a sort of Ironic Nostalgia to it since DL's tomorrowland used to have bumber flying saucers.

Maybe that's where the rumour comes from.

Haw about a 360, 3-d attraction, could it work?

Keep the Time Keeper ad some awsome 3d (think of Muppet Vision / Honey / Captain EO) and take it to a next level. Motion Based seats that move with the movie and the person can spin to see the whole movie. There has to be space for that. and it doesn't have to be a whole moving car it can be the seats and someplaces for the ones that suffers Motion Sickness. And for a Theme "The Future that never was" nice CGI, great sound and some awsome inside special FX!

Sounds like a mix up with the old rumour of the CoP conversion into an updated `flying saucers` attraction. God forbid either!

Honestly, I have no problem with this kind of attraction being installed. Tomorrowland has Space Mountain and Stitch for E-tickets. Timekeeper is okay, but they could use the same theme with a different mech.

Tomorrowland needs more of the smaller rides anyway.

Now, What I'd really like to hear is a plan on what to do with DL's Tomorrowland, cause it sucks.
