Timekeeper to Reopen on Dec 24th

TK should begin its holiday run on Dec 24th. Not sure what day it closes, but my best guess would be Jan 2nd or 3rd.

In the past, hours have been 1000 to 2100. Dec 31st and July 4th have had even longer hours then that in the past. (900-2300)

From what I saw, TK guest counts for Thanksgiving were VERY VERY LOW. Even during traditonally busy times of the day, such as pre and post day parade. This could be do to the fact that it is no longer on the park map, and the signage outside highlights the M&G more then the attration. I do believe they use a large A-frame to advertize it being open.

On a brighter note, CoP has been running from park open to park close, even during the slower times this past year, so I have a much brighter outlook for this once ''Seasonal'' attraction. It's been open for what, two years straight now, and no longer opens late/closes early.

It seems that they are doing their best to "kill" this attraction.

Crap there were some rumors that it would be open a few weeks earlier. I'm glad I got up early and made a special trip to the MK just to see TK a couple of times on the 4th this year.

Any news on CoP and Wonders of Life FLcastmember?

While I agree that some of the activities (moving it from the map, stopping the signage/scrolling, etc.) didn't help, this attraction has been on borrowed time simply due to unpopularity. I will admit that I never really enjoyed it, but that is just personally. I would like to see it take on new life, and I think some of the new technology would allow that (I will defer my disapproval of the Monsters, Inc. concept to the other thread). I just hope it does, in fact, get used since it is a great piece of real estate and a neat presentation opportunity due to the Metro Science Center sign.

For what it is worth......

I emailed Disney a complaint about COP's rumored closing in 2006 (I don't care about Timekeeper especially). They gave the standard: It is a seasonal attraction, blah, blah, but said that COP will not closing but will continue to seasonal.

Like I said....for what it is worth! :)

Guess will definately make a stop at Timekeeper this trip, since most likely it will be gone by the time we visit again. Never been to it so no idea what it's like.

Can't wait to see what they put in it's place.

Wonders of Life will be opening December 18th for two weeks.

Excellent. I knew that was the rumor, but I hadn't heard anything official. That makes this entire trip worthwhile.

Does any one know how long Timekeeper will be open? Any chance of it remaining open in January, since Buzz will be down?

I'm hoping and hoping - I love that attraction, and want to see it a few more times. It's also my BF's favorite thing in Disney - he's not a fan of the thrill rides, but loves the shows and such.

I have never seen timekeeper. me and my family have always avoided all the centervission attractions... because why stand to see a movie when you can better spend your time on a seeted attraction.

I never understood that argument. You're standing for hours a day anyway.. What's an extra ten minutes to see some entertainment?

During the opening of TK for Thanksgiving the only indication that it was open was the overhead light marque banner above the entrance. There was no A-frame for TK only for the meet & greet. People were walking in to find out what TK was all about after they noticed it on the sign and stopped immediatly when they saw the characters. The CM running the show said that they might put someone outside to let guests know that TK was open, but I never saw anyone.

IMHO it was set up to fail. I hope it is not true. Maybe they just didn't have anyone to corral people in.

Lets see what happens for Christmas.

I have good feelings about CoP being open for a wile. Will it be years? I don't know, but they are about to close for a 4 day Rehab next week, so why would we spend money, and believe me, even small rehabs like this once cost alot, on an attraction that was on a short list to close? I just think CoP closing rumors in 06 are unfounded , although a few years down the road??? who knows!

As far as WoL goes, that I am not so sure on. Will it keep being opened during peek times? Yes. But you just have to know that something bigger and better must be coming to that pavilion, so just like TK, some day after one of its Seasonal Runs, it will close for ever. I don't have a clue when that is.

So to put them in order of Seasonal Attrations that may be removed....

1. TK...100% and soon
2. WoL
3. CoP...( but not anytime soon) and I would say that there is still hope for the Future! :drevil:

i was at disney on the 2nd and time keeper was open for about 2 hours in the morning and then they shut it down and started setting up for MVMCP. when i got back that night for MVMCP they had the theater for timekeeper all decked out with kodak camera stuff for the free portrait that you get from MVMCP and i thought it was cool the screens had christmas images on them and timekeeper had a christmas skarf on. I have a photo somewhere ill have to find it and post it.

That is quite surprising that they breakdown and set up the photo equipment in TK. It must be very busy in MK right now.
