YES!! A CM was caught between the dividers and crushed. However, the guests on the attraction did get to ride again without waiting in line.

I hate to burst the CoP bubble but close the attraction.

People protest when Disney is deciding to close the attraction and saying keep it open because it is so popular. Then when it is open, they operate at less then half-filled shows. This is getting kind of ridiculous.

Heading for the great escape.
could this be because the opening time window is so small that theres hardly a chance to fit it in. On my last trip it was only open for a few shows in the whole day.

I go during the heat of the day when Tomorrowland seems to be most crowded.

There are huge lines for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger's Spin, Alien Encounter and even some what of a line for the Transit Authority. But I head by CoP and I just walk straight to the front and they let me in.

The small window has nothing to do with it. People will wait in line for the next show.

This was after the COP in it's replacement "America Sings". The problem was quickly fixed and all is safe.

Sorry, that was the last "but in" I promise.

Adieu!

I really love COP and I believe it needs to stay open - how 'bout if just a bit of routine maintenence was performed every once in awhile? Last time I was there (12/00), the curtains were ripped and everything just looked so worn! It just really looked in need of a good cleaning - and alot of TLC! :)

Let's not forget that this show has a HUGE capacity. Whenever I go on it it always seems to be relatively busy -- never full, but they fill up a lot of the seats in there.

Besides, let's say they did close it -- do you really think they'll replace it with something new anytime soon?? The sub lagoons been sitting empty for about 8 years now -- something tells me CoP would do the same. I'd much prefer a seasonal CoP to nothing at all.

i don't really think there is any way to tell weather it would be immediately replaced or not. some attractions sit unused, like 20,000 Leagues and the Skyway station, and some attractions are replaced as soon as they are removed, like legend of the lion king and mr toads wild ride. for me at least, it is hard to predict which would be the case for CoP, if it were closed. my guess is that this attraction will remain open (seasonally, that is) untill a replacement is planned and ready to be constructed, but that is just a guess.

Okay, so back to that rehab that really needs to be done for CoP? Since it's not open so often anyway, might as well clean up during the down time!

Both were open this past weekend. I saw both attractions and I do have to say, CoP was packed.. only a few empty seats, and even people out frint waiting for the next show to come around, so to speak, and the Timekeeper was filled to capacity as well. Maybe they'll stay open on a more permanent level...
