MADE THEME PARK VIEW RESERVATIONS 6 MONTHS AGO SO WAITING FOR SUMMER ROOM DISCOUNTS OR ANNUAL PASS DISCOUNTS.
SO THE ANNUAL PASS DISCOUNT FOR MY DATES WILL OPEN SOON BUT WAS TOLD WHEN ASKED TODAY I CANNOT GET WHEN OFFERED.
NOT SURPRISING AS EVERY YEAR A NEW TWIST. 2 HOURS ON PHONE TODAY WITH AGENT AND THEN 2 GUEST SERVICES LEVELS
TELLS ME MY ROOM CATEGORY WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR ANY DISCOUNTS AS THEY ARE SOLD OUT ALL ROOMS JULY '22.
FUNNY I HAVE GOT THIS MANY YEARS WITH THE 2-3 HOUR PHONE CALLS AND THE RESORT WAS SOLD OUT THOSE YEARS ALSO.
THIS NEW TWIST WILL PUT ME OVER THE EDGE NOW WITH GENIE AND ALL THE EXTRA COSTS THAT ARE OUTRAGEOUS.

That's a lot of CAPS! Can I ask, why do you have an annual pass? It sounds like you fo this one time a year, so what is the point of getting the annual pass? You could get a room if you didn't want to use your pass for a discount,? Sounds like an annual pass problem more than a WDW problem.

Looking back at their post history (all 12 of them) they've been saying they were DONE with Disney/GF since 2020... (They're also very quick to point out in just about every post that they've been going to the GF for 20+, 25, 24+ years)

There's an article that came out this week: Why I Took a Break From Disney, and How it Helped Me Rediscover the Magic.
WDW can get frustrating, especially for guests who visit often and have gotten overwhelmed with the changes and price hikes over the past 5 years or so. Taking a break isn't necessarily sad. Either you find other escapes and adventures that fulfill you more, or decide there still is magic to be found in WDW and return. Personally, I kind of settled in the middle. More trips outside WDW has helped make planning our next WDW trip feel more special. It's helped me focus on what are the things we love most when visiting, and build a trip around that.
