Do we need to keep the theme as Tomorrowland (or at least mostly Tomorrowland like), or can we change the theme? Also, can we retheme the one ride we keep, or does the ride we keep have to stay more or less the same?
Yes, most of Tomorrowland will have to stay as the regualr theme. For the one ride you keep, you may not retheme the ride to a different story. BUT, you can add upgrades to make the ride better. Hope that helped! :)

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow...

Just a dream away!

In 2025, the Tomorrowland that currently resides in Disneyland Resort will receive a makeover like never before. The land will be drastically changed to reflect a sleek, more modern future. The renovation will be around the same size as it is today, but will have immersion on the level of Star Wars: Galaxies Edge. Use of intellectual properties will be minimal, and the land will focus more on several big E-Tickets and immersion.

Welcome to
New Tomorrowland!
MIAMI_2050_large.jpg

The Astro Orbitor will be demolished to make way for a new entrance. A tall, metal dome that has text rotating text on it, most of which relates to major land attractions. The text states,

"WELCOME TO TOMORROWLAND! TODAY'S DATE IS [MM]/[DD]/2085! THE TEMPERATURE IS [The temperature goes here, number is the temperature in Anaheim at the time]! X-S GIVING TOURS! HOVERCAR FREE TRIALS! VISIT THE UNDERWATER DISTRICT! GALACTIC TRAVEL AGENCY DEPARTING SPACE FLIGHTS! TRAFFIC HEAVY! WELCOME TO TOMORROWLAND!"

At the bottom of the dome, there are windows with robots inside of them. The robots can talk to guests, tell them about the land, and even the wait times. The robots are animatronics voiced by Cast Members.

The land itself will be overhauled to fell more like a city. For example, forced perspective buildings, fake hovercars on KUKA arms flying over ride buildings, and cast members dressed as things like robots and aliens. Who knows, you might even see a certain talking trashcan show up. There is even a new soundtrack for the land done by Daft Punk!

The first major attraction in the land is a completely revamped Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, where the ride system will remain intact, but show scenes and animatronics will be changed greatly. The ride will also change it's theme from Toy Story to a fondly remembered, thrilling experience from the past of WDW's Tomorrowland.

Tech giant X-S, known for pioneering in the teleporting industry, is giving exclusive tours of their headquarters in Tomorrowland. Civilians will come face-to-face with the company's CEO, L.C Clench, as well as see the company's teleporters right in front of their eyes.

However, the teleporting goes awry, and several dangerous aliens from galaxies away appear and terrorize the headquarters. The emergency blasters on your tour cart activate, it's up to you to stop all of these aliens and their leader, a deadly Omnivorus Carnivorus.

The Tomorrowland Peoplemover
tomorrowland-transit-authority-peoplemover-gallery04.jpg

The much beloved Peoplemover will be making a return to California, with vehicles modeled like the ones in Florida. Take a close up view with the attractions in Tomorrowland, as well as explore the city a little. You never know who you might see!

Star Tours and the Tomorrowland Theater will be gutted to make way for the largest new addition to New Tomorrowland, a new E-Ticket will be built using the space of those 2 attractions. As well as fill in the area between Tomorrowland and Main Street, as well as behind Space Mountain.

Rush Hour
main-street-east-gilles-tran-oyonale_com-artwork-crop.jpg

You stumble across a large taxi company that promises to get you to the other side of Tomorrowland as fast as possible. The problem, it's rush hour, and hundreds of cars are flying by. The taxi will take several different routes, going up to 80 MPH. This large ride will use the same technology and ride system as Test Track. The ride ends with the taxi successfully getting you to the other side of the land, only to get beaten by a competing taxi.

Space Mountain will remain the same, although the ride will have a bit of story, with a Galactic Travel Agency, a company that sets people into outer space missions, setting the ride into play.

Pizza Port will now serve good pizza.

Star Wars: Launch Bay will be entirely demolished to make way for a sub-land of sorts;

Paradise Courtyard

This new sub land will have Foodture Truck, a food truck selling snacks and small meals.
Finest Greenhouse, a counter service restaurant specializing in vegan food.
Burger Canopy, a quick service burger stand operated by an animatronic designed to look like a futuristic robot.
Meters Above Earth, a clone of the space restaurant coming to EPCOT.
Junk of All Sorts, the gift shop where you end up after Rush Hour.

But the biggest thing in Paradise Courtyard is History Museum, a walkthrough attraction detailing the changes in human culture and technology up until that point.

Autopia will get a total makeover, with a total change in theme and ride system,

Magnificent Hover Cars
hqdefault.jpg

When you first walk up to your vehicle, it will seem to be on the ground. But when you get in, the vehicle will rise into the air. The vehicle has a hidden robotic arm under the track which raises it up, you can change how high you can be with a lever, similar to Dumbo.

The Monorail will be remaining mostly the same, but it will now have Augmented Reality windows so you can see things that aren't there to add a bit of "Disney Magic"

Lastly, The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage will get a theme change, we've been on land and space, only one place left to go.

Ocean District Voyage
underwater.jpg

You will board a submarine to take you on a tour of Tomorrowland's Ocean District. You will see several holographic and robot fish, underwater vehicles exploring the seas, and several buildings of all kinds. Like apartments, hospitals, and science labs.

Once your tour is over, you will go into a walkthrough attraction where you will explore a part of the Ocean District and get a taste of the future. You can even meet the famous scientist of the seas, Fishh E. Mann

And that concludes our tour of the New Tomorrowland, there is lots to see and do. I hope you enjoyed this journey, as I have. Always remember, there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day!

"To all who warp drive and hyperjump to this happy place, welcome. Since its inception many moons ago, Tomorrowland has always strived to uphold the ideals that it was built on. The belief and hope in a better tomorrow, and achievements and wonders made through science, technology, and innovation. This great institution of progression, creativity, and ingenuity, since its humble origins as a Terran amusement enterprise, has guided mankind to dream big and achieve the impossible. From the time man first stepped on the Moon, through the Atomic Age, the Plasma Age, the Bandwidth Age, and to the stars and beyond. From the time we first made contact with our intergalactic neighbours, founded out first colony on Mars, conquered the deepest depths, transformed deserts into lush jungles, and invented the Black Hole-powered Waffle Iron, the memory and inspiration of Tomorrowland has lingered overhead, reminding us of our past and guiding us to a better future. And now, on the eve of the 1100th anniversary, and on the grounds where the first Tomorrowland stood, I hereby declare the Milky Way Expo open, with a hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to the known universe. Thank you!" -- Thomas A. Morrow the 19th, opening speech of the Milky Way Expo, July 17 3055.

Tomorrowland: New Horizons
Dickmanns_Rentacar_CAC_City_Arts_Science_Valen.width-800.jpg

I wanted to create a traditional Tomorrowland area, but was torn between including a realistic idea of the future (space travel, robotics, intergalactic colonisation, underwater colonisation); and a fictional alien spaceport like that of the Magic Kingdom. I decided to just fuse both together, set during an otherworldly science expo some time in the distant future. Welcome to the new Tomorrowland!

The Milky Way Expo was founded by cosmologist and astronomer, Tom Morrow the 5th over 500 years ago, upon landing his ship in what was once known as Anaheim, California, rescuing the local aliens, the Lightkeepers, from a geological disaster. As such, they helped him to build the first expo, with many aliens and civilizations coming together to build their magnificent labs of the future. The expo and Tomorrowland eventually left Earth, becoming a travelling intergalactic brand that encouraged technological innovation. Architecturally, the land would take inspiration from the designs of Santiago Calatrava, who built the City of Arts and Sciences, where Tomorrowland was filmed. So, it comes full circle in a way. But, at night, the land develops a whole new identity, becoming illuminated with bright cosmic lights and colour themes that reflect the diversity of outer space. The current president of Tomorrowland is Tom Morrow the 19th, a cyborg fascinated by the vastness of the universe.

Retro-Cyborg-by-Sekko-Da-Vinci.jpg

The land’s layout takes a mix of inspiration from both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom’s incarnations of Tomorrowland. I also wanted to use only a couple of IP, and keep the original story and otherworldliness of the land a priority. I never liked Tomorrowland being a dumping ground for sci-fi related properties, ruining whatever theming was meant to exist in it. Milky Way Expo celebrates the potential of mankind’s ingenuity and imagination, and the optimism of a semi-realistic future – hence the focus on space travel, intergalactic relations, and colonisation on other planets and underwater. The land is also a spaceport for aliens, so the land is relatively immersive and detailed, with many interactive characters to be found

The main entrance is imposing, reviving those beautiful waterfalls from the Magic Kingdom, giving a sense of majesty and wonder to the expo. Beyond that are sleek curving, white and silver buildings. Most have two floors, to accommodate numerous attractions. Standing beyond the entrance way is the Moonliner, a large, somewhat more retro space shuttle, now used as a museum piece celebrating Tomorrowland's glory days. As you might have guessed, the Astro Orbitor is gone.

Let’s actually talk about the attractions. First up is Baymax’s Science Cycle, replacing Buzz Lightyear, located within the expo’s Science Hall of Medicine and Robotics, on the left hand side of the entrance. It is “sponsored” by Hamada and Krei Enterprises. Obviously based on Big Hero 6, the ride would be based on the one coming to Tokyo Disneyland, basically a glorified, heavily themed drag spinner. Baymax, and his numerous, identical units (which would be commonplace in the future), invite guests to attempt to make a new useable energy source based on kinetic energy. Guests sit in pods which are dragged backwards around a circular arena by the Baymax units, their speed depending on the guests using a pedal in the vehicles. The faster they go, the more energy is built up within an energy generator until it is filled, completing the experiment. Adjacent to the ride is Old San Fransokyo Trinkets, a gift shop, with a coffee area thematically based around the Lucky Cat Cafe.

latest

On the first floor of the Science Hall of Medicine and Robotics is the Big Hero 6 Labs (officially the “Tadashi Hamada Memorial Labs”), hosting as a museum to the heroics of the Big Hero 6, but also offering a series of fun, hands-on and virtual activities, allowing guests to play with science, and see the latest real world scientific advances. Guests can also meet Baymax here.

In the centre of the land are the revived Rocket Jets, now renamed the Pocket Rockets. Effectively the same ride but with updated tech, the ride is based around the idea of a rocket testing facility" and a major promo for what personal rocket travel could feel like.

Opposite that is the Expo Galaxy Market and Tomorrowland Transportation Authority (i.e. The People Mover). The lower floor houses a cluster of shops and restaurants, while the ever beloved People Mover’s loading station is located on the first floor, accessible via escalators or lifts. The People Mover circles the entire land clockwise, before looping back around to the start, venturing through each show building, with a final trip through the interior of Space Mountain. On the roof of the TTA, guests may recognise the Trimaxion spaceship from Flight of the Navigator. The market consists of a singular floor, with two entrances. Restaurants include Starlight Terrace, which looks out on the Hub; Cosmic Ray’s Nightsky Café, a jazzy music club which contains the “Greatest Pizza Maker in the Known Universe”, and with a band headlined by Cosmic Ray himself, alongside his fellow bandmates, Lens Flare, Jett Stream, and Nova Nebula; Halley’s Fine Crystals, a crystal shop made from parts of Halley’s Comet; and The Merchant of Venus, a merchandise and clothes shop run by the titular Venusian trader.

tony-solaroni-tokyo-disneyland-2.jpg

Past the Moonliner lies the X-S Tech Security Centre, using the Innovations building, which is covered in black and blue metals, with a rather egotistical logo on the roof. It is supported by the Galactic Federation. You can probably guess what is in this building. Well, perhaps not. Europa Alien Encounter makes a return, but not perhaps as it is remembered. Guests are welcomed into the X-S building, where the chairman, L.C. Clench, gives guests a pitch of his security and prison company with such oozing egotism, it hurts to watch. The walls of the foyer are decorated with visual gags to iconic Tomorrowland attractions. After meeting the robotic security chief, S.I.R., guests are informed that Captain Gantu from Lilo & Stitch has arrived to deliver a new prisoner: Experiment 626. This version of Alien Encounter mixes elements from the classic ride, but also the better parts of Stitch’s Great Escape... Yes, really.

Guests then board ride vehicles, Securipods, to tour the prison facilities. Each vehicle is armed with four “anti-hostile auxiliary blasters”, meant to stun any escapee prisoners. The tour goes through several rooms containing aliens in various cells. We also see the newly imprisoned Stitch, who is seen concocting a way out by spitting on some cannons that follow his genetic signature. The ride goes through into the next room, where an enormous, terrifying, carnivorous alien, simply known as The Scourge, is housed within an air-tight containment box. Unfortunately, we hear Stitch escaping his cell, climbing through the vents and shuts down the power grid – and releases all of the prisoners. The room plunges into darkness, and the Scourge breaks loose as seen through flickering lights.

Captain Gantu and S.I.R. warn the guests to arm themselves and fend off the escapees til the power is restored. Guests venture through the depths of the facility in a shooter ride, targeting a variety of wacky and scary aliens, whilst encountering both Stitch and the Scourge along the way. Both aliens eventually meet each other in a showdown, and the decision to shoot at the targets on either alien can alter the ending of the story. If the Scourge is fired at, it will be defeated and imprisoned, while Stitch escapes in a spaceship. If Stitch is fired at, the Scourge will escape (via a large Scourge-shaped hole in the wall), and Gantu warns the alien is running loose in the expo. Guests may glimpse the beast within Space Mountain whilst riding the People Mover.

Built next to the X-S Tech Security Centre is the expo’s major dining restaurant, inspired by the upcoming new Epcot restaurant: Horizon Observation Deck. Using the power of illusions, guests find themselves in an interstellar restaurant, the windows showing the views of space, with meteorites, spaceships, and the occasional astronaut passing by.

Perhaps the most unique attraction in Tomorrowland is the Gigantic Garden Breakout, in place of the Magic Eye Theatre, in the Expo Botanic Centre, which has the strange sight of large plants growing out of it. Set within an exotic bio-lab and set of greenhouses, this dark ride takes guests on a wild ride through an experiment gone wrong. Dr. Atticus Greenway, a botanist, has invented the Super Growth formula, to help accelerate the growth of plants in environments that would normally be uninhabitable. His tests have proved to have gone both right and wrong, with a majority of the greenhouse’s contents growing jumbo-sized, turning the labs into a vast jungle of giant alien plants and vegetables. And some of them are becoming a little lively, and very, very hungry.

the-night-of-the-triffids-aaron-j-groen.jpg

Space Mountain remains the same, but with its story adjusted to blend in with the whole of Tomorrowland. Next door the the H.O.D. is the Whizz and Bang Electro Plant, a themed arcade where the games act as generators for the plant.

scifi-race-kit-3d-model-low-poly-max.jpg

At the opposite end of the expo are two transport based attractions. The first is the Gravity Grand Prix, originally meant to promote speedy anti-gravity cars which can be used to travel from planet to planet for commuters. Instead, these hovercars have instead been repurposed for a wild race through alien caverns. A mix of Autopia and Radiator Spring Racers. The final attraction is a reinvention of the Submarine Voyages, Aquasub Voyage, incorporating the idea of an underwater colony named Sea Base Alpha (a nod to The Living Seas). Guests board the Aquasubs and venture down into the depths, exploring the sea base and its surroundings. Once last thing is Tomorrowland's train station, located on a path going by the Gravity Grand Prix.

Tomorrowland!
iu

Welcome to the new and improved tomorrowland! This tomorrowland may look familiar, and that's because it is! Tomorrowland has been redesigned to look like it did on opening day! But the attractions don't reflect that, as they still have that sci fi flair.

Theming
Tomorrowland used to be a little planetary moon with only aliens. Then, one day, a strange race landed on it: humans. Humans taught the aliens all they knew and aliens taught humans all they knew, and now humans and alien live peacefully on this moon.
Rides
The first ride guests may encounter is Tomorrowland Mines Tour. This dark ride is replacing the buzz lightyear space. Guests travel the mines in little trams collecting as many crystals as they can. During the journey, guests come across many strange and wonderful alien creatures.
Across from the tour is Dreamfinder's Flights of Fancy, which will replace star tours. Guests join Dreamfinder and Figment in their own dream machine collecting new ideas across many dimensions. Guests may even experience worlds from many franchises Dreamfinder and Figment traveled through, such as guardians of the galaxy, inside out, and wreck it ralph. With a randomized ride experience, guests don't know what to expect.
Space Mountain will get a complete overhaul, with a new backstory.
7.jpg

Meet Mr. Saturn. Mr. Saturn runs a very high - profit packaging business. Your job is to send these packages out as quickly and efficiently as possible, or else.
Up high in tomorrowland, guests race in Rocket Rods, with the entire peoplemover track being demolished to make way for a new one.
There's also Flying Saucers on the roof, a return of the classic astro jets.
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and Autopia gets torn down and replaced by Brava Centari, a dark ride look at future living in space and the journey to get there.
Attractions
Magic Eye/Tomorrowland Theater gets a new show and theming. The theme changes into the Tomorrowland Science Center. Hiro Hamada is showing off his latest inventions when a villain arrives, it's now up to the big hero six to stop him!
Innoventions gets replaced by Robot Expo. See the latest in animatronic technology, get an explanation on how they work, and get to build your very own!
The rising stage stays the same, but no longer has the star wars jedi training academy, instead it has an animatronic alien band that can sink into the stage and be turned off for real performers.
Little green store command becomes a play area similar to imageworks called Gemworks.
Restaurants and shops
Pizza Port gets replaced by Restaraunt, a variation of epcot's upcoming space restaurant.
Auntie Gravity's name stays the same, but now serves the kind of food an aunt would serve. Mac and cheese, cookies, grilled cheese, all sorts of comfort food.
The star trader becomes Dreamport, with less generic disney merch and more magic props and other whimsical merch.
Tomorrowlanding is made more obvious it exists with a much more apparent sign.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Operatives, this is an urgent notification. My name is Wade, and I really shouldn’t be telling you this, but unfortunately, my best agent and friend, Kim, and her partner, Ron, are out of the field right now. That’s why I need your help.

I’m aware of your skills as an Imagineer, and you’re the only one who can do this. The villainous Dr. Drakken and his partner Shego have taken over Tomorrowland! I don’t know how you’re going to do it, but we need to flush them out somehow!

Wait, this just in, we need to re-do all of Tomorrowland, it’s the only way to capture Dr. Drakken. I have just received intel of our entire project to capture them. It is believed Dr. Drakken has been continuously riding Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters on loop attempting to get the Galactic Hero rating while Shego has been training the Stormtroopers over at Star Tours to fight for them. Here are some pictures we’ve taken as proof.

JmBJ320th1JyA8S-nlW91k6CsIcFkpp5RkBOkb2-nmDzIqu4ASczhxe_FWdAKrcIeCH8NQ3-qaUpKReO1TaXpDi3c-U3-Fr3kLJDxLPuMU1r_3olWl0Ve9zwt4EY0N3Ot_GLxHvj

Anyway, attached below is our plan for a new Tomorrowland. If there are any issues, please alert us immediately. With KP missing, you’re our last hope. I hope you can do it.

-Wade

Tomorrowland Expo 20019

Come one, come all, we welcome you to the Grand Opening of the 20019 Tomorrowland Expo, the only Expo accessible from both New York and Yew Nork! From some of the top-notch intergalactic inventions presented by inspirational inventors to some of the best space-faring expeditions this side of the Milky Way (we don’t talk about the other side). Come on down and check it out. Space Busses leaving from Saturn, want a ticket? Just give us a ring! My name is R.O.B.O, which stands for Robotic Operating something-something, the logistics don’t matter, so let’s get to touring this century’s expo.

Ki6apgbvn0bVwuXT2nKsUj6GFeiSK6mnWjFAS9jDq8ODRIlJWh2ZZK3bfZZ23hKFh5CqJ3NuBmmAOSJc5gv7KFwu_hSXQ4URY2sL7CYigzQVojCIW8eEz-Ec3CxK6dXuE4CQt1e4

Our first stop at the 20019 Expo is the invention lair of Crazy Chairman of X-S Tech, Mr. L.C. Clench. Clench has had a turn or two along the old binary suns, but he is finally ready to premiere his completely safe, finished, not a prototype at all, definitely, this will work just as expected, do not worry, please buy tickets to our event, I promise I won’t let a giant alien monster eat any of you this time, transportation machine in the X-S Tech Presents: Alien Encounter, the only location in all of this intergalactic expo filled with aliens where you can meet an alien.

qMjhT0KYKcgmOvc5FrAiSnszii7HZqWfRlP_Di9iyPkNdZz0AHlU0jnC3JHIJQG-GUQP_JT_7T1bB3_C1DLjnczEk4mJsCO9i_z32eg2yL_82rZ1mXcUChfHfsnoWV83I2VzdRIu

Well ladies and gentle-bots, Clench isn’t the only crazy scientist here, no-sir-ree, nope, in fact, the entire galaxy is flooded with some of the craziest scientists this side of the dark side of the moon in the Galactic Science Awards. Some of the craziest inventions spearheaded by the craziest inventors. This one of a kind presentation calls all of the inventors across the galaxy, from Dr. Jumba Jookiba of experimental life fame to Dr. Nigel Channing of, well he did something that we’d all like to forget about. No Matter who it is, you may see them come up and receive this year’s Nobel Disrupting the Peace Award at this Century’s Galactic Science Awards. Both of these attractions can be found hosted in the old Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters Building.

The Next location on our tour is the former Galactic Grill. Instead of the Galactic Grill, we have opened up the brand new Astronomer’s Lounge. The Astronomer’s Lounge is a table service restaurant where our astronomers are serenaded by the talented band on loan from the Sonny Eclipse Show in Florida, The Goops.

Replacing Star Tours, come stop by the Galactic Prison where Dr. Jumba Jookiba has many experiments locked up. However, none are more dangerous than Experiment 626. When 626 breaks out of the prison, everyone on the tour is forced to join the intergalactic police (or InterGalPol) to chase down Experiment 626 in the Red Police Cruiser in the brand new attraction: Stitch’s Great Escape.

11jlTLL279kWPLuGjgZWu8nk_3uFP8RRUz6xwgLpvHoIWuIS7n2-lnx0GOl5KiyKgC4ulI8_MHEGyFlV7EdWrUqcf-12wvaKGQpAPOGJBe_UImTxPHJetCFtksvrb7VcHoe-Y90s

Replacing the area in which once hosted not only the submarines but also Autopia is the historical and also futuristic attraction: The Rocketeer. An oldie but goodie from the original comp, this attraction's story gets updated to instead of following the story of the film, it takes guests into a mission of their own, still on the same ride track previously proposed.

Guests hook into their harnesses and launch out of the chute (again, much like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, but less fast) into the Hollywood skyline. There is some flying over the buildings and lights and sounds play in the guests ears. Guests weave in between tall buildings, up and down, and finally, up towards the Griffith Observatory. However, suddenly, a giant (projected) Zeppelin rises up in front of the jetpacks, making you take a sudden turn, going around the zeppelin. They begin firing at the jetpacks, but you are able to turn and dodge them. However, just as you are approaching the Griffith Observatory, the zeppelin rises again, without enough time to avoid it, the vehicle goes right through it, crashing down into the Hollywoodland sign, once again taking out the "Land" part of the sign.

Well, if there’s one thing Tomorrowland would never replace, it is our Power and Light District, housing the classic attraction Space Mountain.

NzkzCj1SQhHjd6YG0p4UUfN5jc8_leZD_mGm4PttH4sX3VjSE03LRaz88RMxl-2OXm6P3XRSDeeHi5V30T2a33okopuD8P83JwDi4cqv9MqCGamyrD53lMxriLmUkhDpVELsHdW6

Finally, check out the Alien Pad, a splash and play area themed to an alien jungle.

Well that’s all for today, thank you for attending the expo and we hope to see you really soon!

The world is divided. People are giving up hope. Pessimism is a pervasive issue in today's society, America especially.

When asked if “life for our children’s generation will be better than it has been for us,” 76 percent said they do not have such confidence. Only 21 percent did. That was the worst ever recorded in the poll; in 2001, 49 percent were confident and 43 percent not. [1]

We have given up on the future.

With the recent strike on Tomorrowland by Dr. Draken and Shego, morale has dropped even lower. Disneyland, a symbol of happiness and joy for people from around the world, was attacked.

Usually, I prefer Tomorrowland to focus on Sci-Fi concepts and movies, but perhaps it is time for a return to Walt's vision of Tomorrowland.

Originally, Disneyland's Tomorrowland was dedicated more to dreams of the future and the technology that will take us there. It was a showcase for technologies that can pave the way to a brighter tomorrow. It was almost a prototype Future World/ EPCOT. With Galaxy's Edge open on the other side of the park, the Sci-Fi mantle can be passed over there and Tomorrowland is free to focus on hope, optimism, and progress.

Welcome, to the Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrowland!

A mix of modern architecture and a Mary Blair inspired futuristic aesthetic, this land will inspire and entertain generations to come with a realistic and optimistic take on the world of Tomorrow. Unlike EPCOT Center, this will be built on more of an artistic interpretation of science. It is meant to inspire and show what could be rather than to educate. This will help the land to have a timeless feel and not require constant updating to stay current.

1543374789072.png

Space Mountain: Star Flight

The one attraction the survived the attack from Dr. Draken was Space Mountain. It made it through with only minor damage. A temporary path was constructed allowing guests to enjoy the attraction after only a quick refurb/safety check as the rest of the new tomorrowland was built. In the lead up to the new Tomorrowland's grand opening, Space Mountain did go down for a refurbishment to better tie it into the new themes of the land.

In Space Mountain: Star Flight, Starlight Industries is inviting guests to join them on a free tour of the cosmos! Effects within the ride will be updated and added. Astute guests will notice actual constellations and celestial bodies from the Milky Way throughout the ride.

Another major change is that we now know who is our remote pilot for our excursion.

Taara Udaan (rough translation of Hindi for "Star Flight") is the top pilot for Starlight Industries. And she is more than excited to share her passion for the beauty and wonder of the world above the atmosphere with guests.

Her adventurous spirit and sense of wonder will endear her to guests right away. A comic line about her adventures among the cosmos will be made leading up to the opening of the new Tomorrowland and there is talk of either a movie or a miniseries on Disney+ as well.

Spaceship Earth: Dreams Live On

1543376755711.png

The trademark attraction of Epcot will be cloned and added here. This version will have many changes, starting with the exterior. It will not be the giant grand sphere in is in Florida. It will be a half sphere rising out of a curvy, conical building. Creating a very distinct show building without upstaging the rest of the park.

1543376781700.png

The other biggest change is the focus. While many scenes will be very similar to Florida, the focus here is on progress through mankind's history. Important inventions, social changes, and more. This will tie into the themes of Tomorrowland better than the communication focus from the original.

The first section of the ride is mostly the same, just flatter to account for the smaller structure and changed for the progress focus. After the planetarium scene, the changes are most extreme. The second part of the ride takes guest's through Progress City! An optimistic look at a future that could be taking heavy inspiration from a very updated Horizons and Carousel of Progress

1543376818062.png

The narrator for this version of Spaceship Earth will be Lin Manuel Miranda. Between Moana, Mary Poppins Returns, and his upcoming film, Lin has a great relationship with disney. Plus, Lin can give a fantastic, emotional, passionate speech about hope and optimism and he has a great, distinctive voice.

Progress City Expo

The Progress City Expo is a little bit like Innoventions, but with key differences. First off, this is not meant to be a showcase of modern technology. It is a walkthrough attraction that showcases fictional technologies that may be based on real life science, but are a fully artistic interpretation of what could be done 20-30 years from now rather than an actual attempt at the cutting edge. Another important change from Innoventions is that there is more to these two buildings that make up the expo than just the exhibits. Gift shops and QSR stands can be found inside. A flat ride and a special character encounter that I will discuss soon are both there too. The Tomorrowland stop for the Railroad is inside the Expo. Also, both Space Mountain and Spaceship Earth exit into the Expo.

Baymax Encounter

Inside a section of the Expo dedicated to medical technology, guests can see a demonstation of Baymax, a personal home healthcare companion robot! Using technology similar to Turtle Talk with Crush, guests will enter a small theater to find an animatronic Baymax on a small stage. Guests can help Baymax become better at his job by answering his comical questions about humans. Of course, Baymax will also be happy to answer questions about robots for the children.

Warp Force

1543377742472.png

Warp Force will be a simple flat ride inspired by the Musik Express Carnival Ride. Disney has made an attraction like this before with Slinky Dog Spin in most versions of Toy story Land. Essentially, you go in a circle rather fast,

Warp Force will be themed to a showcase of an experimental warp drive engine powered by EM Pulse Technology. It will take advantage of the unique indoor location to enhance the ride experience with lighting and projection technology. This will be a fun, thrilling experience with a lower height requirement than Space Mountain.

One World Courtyard

This area will serve as a sort of mini World Showcase. QSR food booths and small shopping areas dedicated to countries from around the world can be found here in a mostly open air courtyard full of gardens. Visually, the architecture will be uniform for every country to keep them from clashing with eachother in the close proximity. It will look very similar to the current hub area of Epcot, just modernized and with more greenery.

In the center of the Courtyard will be a fountain where water from around the world will be brought in to fill it as a symbolic gesture of world unity.

Living with the Land: River of Wonder

Taking up the Submarine Lagoon as well much of the Autopia track, this attraction will have the largest footprint of the land. Though that is because it can't be built in a multi level style like the others.

This ride takes a lot of inspiration from Living with the land in Epcot, but it is not a direct clone. It is probably the most educational ride in the land as it is all about sustainable and futuristic techniques for growing food and plants. The facade for the show building will be a series of slanted glass pyramids of varying sides that, from a distance, look almost like a strange mountain range.

1543378504689.png

The ride starts with guests sailing a loo around the old Submarine Lagoon getting a nice, scenic view of tomorrowland. Boats then enter the cave into the dark ride section of the ride. This will demonstrate some of the most interesting plant life of the world and the remarkable places and conditions they grow in. It shows how plants are able to naturally adapt to their environments to increase growth rates. Then, boats enter the greenhouse segment where the focus turns to the ways mankind has learned to grow plants in new, better, and more sustainable ways over the years.

A small food booth outside the ride's exit gives guests the chance to eat the fresh fruits and vegetables grown in the greenhouse and similar greenhouses nearby!

Flex Space/Expansion Pad

This will essentially just be set up as a space for special events. It can be rented out or used by Disney as a part of promotional events. In the future, it can be used for a new attraction to be added.

The Promise of Peace and Progress

The Promise is simultaneously the part of this project I am most excited about as well as the least exciting part.

Essentially, it is a series of large walls done with a similar visual style to Small World's architecture. There will be Mary Blair inspired murals throughout (both to tie to Small World nearby as well as to serve as a tribute to the long gone Blair murals that were once a part of Disneyland's Tomorrowland).

1543379546535.png

So, what make a bunch of walls exciting? These walls are signed.

Celebrities, world leaders, fictional Disney characters, characters from rival studios... They all will be invited to sign the walls as a symbolic gesture. They sign it as a promise and commitment to always be striving towards peace for all mankind and to always foster progress to a better tomorrow. It is a promise to not give up on the dream of Tomorrow as so many have. It is a promise to make the world better.

Guests are not only invited, they are encouraged to sign the walls and make that promise themselves. The blocks that are available each day to sign will be hung somewhere high up on the walls each night freeing up more space for more names to be added.

As signatures are added, the blocks build the walls up symbolic building to a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow...

Shining at the end of every day...

XtraTERROReStrial
519572_1.jpg

Star Wars: Launch Bay will be entirely demolished to make way for a sub-land of sorts;

Mann
ec88698fad1a02028f308968a1fc8e81.jpg

And that concludes our tour of the New Tomorrowland, there is lots to see and do. I hope you enjoyed this journey, as I have. Always remember, there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day!

First review of the season! Let's dive in!

The intro is very well built on this writeup! I like the metal dome but it might distract guests around the castle because of the size comparison. But the hovercrafts and robots sound like a great addition. I would abosuly LOVE to hear Daft Punk as I walk into this New Tomorrowland.

XtraTERROReStrial is great addition and will definitely bring great amounts of people to the park because of the nostalgia. And it was cool to see multiple do the same ideas. As they say, Great Minds Think Alike.

Rush Hour seems exhilarating! I just worry that space will be a problem. I know that you explained your space, but the space seems small for technical stuff and the ride itself.

Don't have much to say about Peoplemover but just great to see it back haha.

Paradise Courtyard sounds great but I think some of the places could get a little more boost on its theme.

The new Autopia sounds amazing and I love the idea of hover cars! That is definitely a great hit for me. Monorail seems great as well! The Ocean District Voyage sounds great! Fishh E. Man is great and sounds like a classy fish.

This is a great concept! I love everything about it!

The intro is beyond amazing! I love the combination of the 2 Tomorrowlands! It mixes well together!

The Big Hero Six/ Science and Robotics area is great! I like that you heavily overhauled the Baymax Cycle ride! It deserves a great theme. The museum and gift shop are great additions. The Pocket Rockets are great as well!

The Expo Gallery Market is great and I loved every word of it! The shops are restaurants are great and you did a great job describing it in a simple way. I wasn't sure if I liked the combination of Lilo and Stitch and Alien Encounter because they are two different levels of kid friendly. But it worked perfectly! I think their could have been a little more Alien encounter but it doesn't really effect the ride.

The Gigantic Garden Breakout sounds great and very unique! I think the theme could be a little more strong but it is still good.

Horizon Observation deck is great! It is a nice addition to the land. The window illusion seems that it would be very cool to see. Not too much to say about the arcade but it is great.

The last two rides are great and are very simple. I think the Gravity Grand Prix will help bring more thrill to the parks which I think it needs.

The big issue for me is that your project is so big that I got lost of where things are. If their was a map or legend, that would have helped me a lot more!

SCORE: 9.5/10
