Pre-Trip 'Til Death Do Us Eat - Oct 2016 F&W Trip

I wasn't going to do a pre-trip, but at this point my resort changing is getting ridiculous, and I feel like I need people to tell me they do it too. I know I can't be the only one...

WHO: Me and my husband! I usually just call him R on here.
WHY: Because we're obsessed and we wanted to go back. My fall break is the only time we could go. F&W time! PERFECT!
WHEN: Oct 13-18*

*It was originally going to be 13-16, a real quick trip. But I figured out a way to squeeze 1.5 more days of vacation using some unofficial comp time. (Vacation creep, amiright?) So we'll be arriving back home around lunch on the 18th and I'll have to go straight to work :eek:

WHERE: Coronado Springs > changed to Yacht Club. Added two days at French Quarter > changed to Poly > changed to Boardwalk.


A picture from our trip last fall when we just walked around Crescent Lake and decided we HAD TO stay there.

At this point we have 3 nights at the Yacht Club, and I'm hoping for a discount to come up. Last two nights I just changed to Boardwalk because I found a room with the Back to School Savings discount, which has previously not been coming up. I knew if I kept checking, it would happen!

I was pumped about having found a room at the Poly, but I couldn't pass up the discount at Boardwalk, plus when switching from YC to BW, we can take our luggage ourselves. I was so worried about the split stay because I was worried something would get lost or stolen or just not show up for a long time. This way...we just take it over! So easy.

That's it for now! We're at 91 days today. Can't wait! :inlove:

One Word of Caution...

Looks like the dates you are going overlap the Gartner Symposium. They take over the Dolphin and Swan and have additional functions at the other EPCOT resorts. I'm not saying this will negatively impact your vacation.....but just so that you are aware.

Simple and cheap. I might add some colored tissue or something to jazz it up though. I didn't want to spend a lot on the reveal since I'm going to be spending way more than a normal birthday gift on the trip itself! This is covering all her birthdays until 16 :hilarious:

Just a real quick update, I booked Beaches & Cream for us on the Sunday of our trip! I was thinking about how silly it would be not to go since we're staying there, and there happened to be a dinner reservation open. That will be our resort moving day, so that'll give us a reason to head back to the area around dinner time. Maybe after dinner we can check out our room at the Boardwalk.

Now a poll... should we try the kitchen sink?!

October trip update: 24 days! We got our Magical Express stuff in the mail, and our Magic Bands should arrive very soon. I also got a new Donald Duck tank, but I haven't tried it on yet. Hoping it fits! I am going to wear it with my Donald ears instead of disney bounding this time. I am bounding as Rey for the Halloween party though :D

January trip update: I booked us a room at Coronado Springs on the suggestion of Mike with the Magic for Less travel. He recommended it, and I've been wanting to stay there anyway since we got moved last time (to the Grand Floridian, so I'm definitely not complaining...).

Hopefully once the discounts are announced (next week?! I hope!) I can get us a good price. I still need to ask my sister if that resort looks good or if she'd prefer something else. Hoping to sit down with her this Friday and look over things.

I did get to tell her about the trip this weekend though! It was right before her birthday party, and one of her little friends was already there, so she didn't overreact, but she was still pretty excited :)
