If the weather is retched during the days Disney doesn't refund anything - why should MVMCP be any different?

Hiya Cymbaldiva:wave: I'm wondering the same thing. Maybe Disney has a policy about giving day hoppers when a hard-ticket event is rained out. If they give them for MVMCP, maybe they also give them for MNSSHP and E-nights. Maybe one our wonderful CM's can give us an answer. :)

Cheers...and Merry Christmas

Hi Big Pooh!!!

Thank you SOOO much for answering...and for wondering the same thing! :sohappy:

Ya'll know I have to wonder...when DH drank a bug we didn't get free passes, and I personally would much rather have had rain in the park as opposed to bugs in the cocoa! :animwink:

So friend CM's, what is the rain policy at WDW?

There is no disclaimer for the weather during the MVMCP. I have been there with the rain also. It wasn't actually raining the whole time, but that annoying mist for the most part. I think Disney should have one for the hard ticket events.

What exactly is a "hard ticket" event?

A hard ticket event is an event that you're daily addmission(one day, multi-day Park hopper, Annual Pass etc.) won't get you into. You have to buy a seperate admission for MVMCP, MNSSHP, E-Nights and maybe even the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal is also a hard ticket event. Hope that helps. :)

Cheers

Thanks Big Pooh -

Actually, it really does! :)

Now I'm wondering why refunds are offered only when the weather stinks at hard-ticket events...

I promise I'm not trying to be a pain...I really do just want to know! :)

Probably becuase the point of hard ticket events are the Entertainment.

You are speciifcly pay for the Snowfall on Mainstreet, the FireWorkd, the Parade, and the Nighttime performance of the Live Shows.

If none of these are performed, then it is a good idea, offer the refunds, free tickets etc.

Since they didn't provide what the ticket was for.

It is similar to a baseaball game that is rained out, if they call off the game before it is competed, according to the rules, They give a raincheck, since the game wasn't played.

I guess Disney is acknowleging that these Special events are about the entertainment, not the attractions.

Food and Wine and Flower and Garden are NOT hard ticket events, they are included in the all tickets to Epcot

MVMCP, MNSSHP, E-Rides, Nights of Joy, Grad Nights are all Hard Ticket Events

Can someone please tell me what the new Fast Pass system F.L.I.K. literally stands for? It was posted somewhere, but I cannot find it anymore. I am interested in the acronyms Disney uses. Thanks.

Hey FL, Thanks for the updates!!! As far as MVMCP for December 5th, it was pretty bad!!!! Everything got cancelled except for the fireworks as you know. Im sure it was a Guest Relations nightmare. they were offering in exchange for the wristband, a free 1 day pass to the parks. As I Am an AP holder I decided to tough it out and see if the rain would let up enough for the Parade. It didnt so on the way out I decided to be my usual friendly self and kinda razz one of the CMs just atad. I asked him if he thought the parade was going to run shortly, he laughed and said no he didnt think so. We got to chatting and he suggested that I ask at Guest Relations to see if there was another night of the MVMCP that they would exchange my ticket for. Well the young man at Guest Relations gave me the canned spiel about the one day ticket. I told him that the parade was what I had really come for and would it be possible to get tix for the two of us for Sunday. They were really wonderful. Hey FL if you know a guy from Buffalo who might have been by the exit that evening, please thank him for me!!!! Disney magic at it's finest!!! Belle
