You don't think coming up out of the mist revealing the view won't be cool?

Depending on where exactly the mist is (I haven’t watched any video or seen any pics yet) you could only get a split-second view before dropping.

Whether numbers are accurate or not, it's wild to think that one singular attraction can bring in that much money per year. Disney is laughing

I mean, it seems like it’s right after the mama odie scene off to the side and it goes pretty slow at the top.. so it probably won’t be much different than before view wise

Personally, no. I like having the view for a handful of seconds rather than just a split second.

You don't even know if the view will be different at all yet, the mist could be far enough back it doesn't change the sightline at all

I wear glasses, so I hope they don't fog up too badly from the mist effects. I have to shield my glasses on Universal's ET ride in its misty segments due to it being blasted at full force at guests. Same could happen with the mist projection that was used in Pirates if I let the vapor hit them. The calm layers of mist used in the fort bombardment scene doesn't cause any issues however. Seems to happen worse when it's more turbulent and thick right around the head. Makes me a bit concerned with these new fog effects since they look like they might be both thick and turbulent.

I feel like in Florida heat, my sunglasses and glasses are constant fog.

So if media previews are June 9-10 (roughly a month out) shouldn’t they be announcing the opening soon? Don’t previews typically occur for cast members before media?

I watched the video on the main page. The mist is right at the peak of the hill. You're going to get half a second of view before dropping. Presuming it's not affected by the wind.

it seems like this mist effect will be cool at night but I can't see how it will be the same with the bright Florida sunshine behind it during the day , but I guess we will see soon enough.

Believe it or not salt mist is actually a thing.
“The air in the mine, saturated with a salt mist, is very healthy and is the reason why the mine has been used as a healthcare facility since the 19th century.”

It went down for about 10 minutes that night. It had evac'd the previous two nights, though.

Wonder how much was involved in lack of continuous maintenance through the years. What with the failures of the set pieces due to lack of maintenance how much overflowed to the ride system...

I actually like the mist idea, except it will be broken within a week and they won't fix it and they'll spin at as a 'opening week limited time magic' activation
