Last year Thumper was doing pictures in front of the Animal Kingdom and I missed him by a day. And to think I was in DisneyWorld on his last day and I could have got a picture taken with him lol > Anyways since Bambi 2 is coming out maybe Thumper will come back ? If anyone hears anything let me know. If I don't get a picture taken with Thumper this time I am just going to cry  lol >

I thought I'd heard the last of it. :zipit:

There's only so many more classics they can ruin left...

Speaking of ruining movies. I never saw them so I'm not sure if it explained but why was the Beast in his beast form in the BatB sequels?

I believe it was because the sequal was a "remember when" group of stories.....

Yes, from what I can tell, Bambi becomes a daddy....

If bambi has a baby, would he name it bimbo?

"Plot Synopsis: The new film is a 'midquel', the story taking place in the middle of the first Bambi movie. It is your basic teenage angst tale, dealing with Bambi coping with his Father, the Great Prince, and his finding of a new mate while an orphaned Bambi comes to terms with his Mother's death."

Ahhh....ok, makes sense. I knew I saw a "daddy" deer in whatever promo I saw....but that still leaves the bimbo question unanswered...

no cgi ... most of the animators had to go back to school to learn how the masters did it in the begining and relearn how to animate. They tried to recreate the acuracy of the animal movements as best as they could.

i mean come on Patrick stewart is the voice of the prince. and he doesn't do crap.

Oh one more thing. I don't even think that thumper is avalable in the costume department anymore. I believe he got shiped to storage.

Patrick Stewart? Blah. Now as for Patrick Warburton, I think Patrick Warburton should do the voice of every character in a movie.

I was kidding :p I can imagine how lost Disney might be on a project like this considering they scrapped all their traditional animators.

Is this a DVD release or will it be in theaters? Maybe if it did well enough, Disney would reconsider their position on traditinal animation. Wishful thinking...I know.

yes i was really shocked today to see how diffrent the animation tour looked today from what i remembered as a child. It was so lack luster it made me want to cry.

I used to love that tour. When I was younger I wanted to be an animator so that was the highlight of my trip. I miss it...and agree the new one is not much to look at. Although the introduction with Mushu is pretty well done IMO.

Bambi II

Someone asked if Bambi II was going to be in theaters....

I am in the Disney Movie Club, and all VIP members recieved an email, (myself included) telling us that Disney is going to be showing Bambi II on the big screen in select markets. Just so happens my city was one of them.

The first 25 DMC VIP members who sent an email with their info would be chosen to recieve 2 free passes to see it in theaters. The confirmation email I got said "This is your only chance to see Bambi II on the big screen!" (not that exciting, but still)

I did it, for fun, and was actually one of the first 25. So.....I think it's a direct to DVD release, not sure, but they are showing it in theaters in certain markets.

(Do I think we needed a Bambi II? of course not! lol But thought, hey, free movie)

I am interested to see what they did with this one....:veryconfu

Flowers Child,

Thumper will probably never be back at least to AK...Of course anything can happen...A friend of mine who works in AK entertainment and has been with the company for about 15 years told me that....Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....

In 2004 Thumper appeared at MNSSHP. If you want to see him out write a letter or send an email to Disney....
