Thrill rides you can chicken out on.

I took my mom through RnRC specifically to let her see the preshow and launch (she hates thrill rides - anything past Splash Mountain is too much for her). She loved being able to see the entire "ride" but not actually experience the attraction itself. Plus she felt cool getting to walk through the yellow door (it's that color for a reason!). I'm just sorry I didn't think of doing that years ago, rather than make her sit out in the hot sun while we waited in line...

I haven't chickened out in any ride lines..but I sure wish I did for ToT - I still feel sick when I think of that ride experience lol. I was so scared I didn't even scream, just sat there horrified and feeling like I was going to be ripped out of my seat & shot through the roof of the building. I had considered chickening out..man sure wish I had! NEVER again lol. Sometimes I think..oh it wasn't THAT bad...and then a second later I'm like..oh yes it was!

I think the psychological build up to some of the rides like Tower Of Terror or Rock N’ Roller coaster, for instance make you think the ride is going to be scarier than it actually is. Not that these rides aren’t scary. Just not as scary as the hype would have you believe. But that’s all part of the fun.

I chickend out on the big water slide @ BB. I had to walk down past everybody, they laughed and joked about the biggest guy in line was afraid but it was all in good fun. The worst part was walking past the little kids waiting in line to slide down that thing.

You're not alone on that. I see it happen on every trip. Good lessons for the kids though by showing them it's ok to say you don't want to do something and then not doing it. It's always good to teach your kids not to be afraid to try new things, but as silly as it seems, your lesson is just as valuable.

Kudos for sticking to your guns and taking the "walk of shame" (as I heard some smart kid put it).

My parents love Aerosmith and they usually stay outside and wait for me but next time I go I'll bring them in with me just to see the preshow and the launch. It's really a good idea.

Is it 5:00 yet?
Pretty much all of them. I'm pretty sure they work like this...

Everest-Ask a Cast Member at load, and they'll take you through a gate back to Serka Zong.

Tower-Ask a Cast Member at Load, and you'll get in an elevator to take you down to Unload. Don't worry, it won't fall!

Coaster-When you get to the Parking Garage, ask a cast member at load and they'll take you through a door and down a hall to unload.

Splash-When you get to load, tell them you're not riding, and they'll take you up and down some stairs that will take you to unload.

Big Thunder-When you're loaded into a row, walk right through the car and onto unload.

Space Mountain-When you pass Tower you'll see a gate marked "Exit". Open that gate and follow the signs down to unload.

Test Track-When you get to load, tell them you don't want to ride and they'll take you up and down some stairs to unload.

Mission: SPACE-When you get out of the ready room, ask a Cast Member and they'll show you to unload where you can wait for your group to come out.

I think that's it. Good luck!

Yep..I walked with my husband through the queue and watched him launch and then walked down a hall and by the time I made it over there his limo pulled up.. must not be a very long ride...

I chickened out on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster a few years ago. I never went on any roller coasters before and I thought well it's Disney and it's inside it can't be that bad. But when I walked in to see it take off I started freaking out. My boyfriend still wanted to do it but I just walked through the seats to the other side and waited for him to get off. Eventually I went on it and now I do ever single roller coaster I see. However I still will always get the nervous stomach. :lookaroun

How did you manage that then, because you exit the ride in a different place than where you get on on RnRC

none - at the end of the day - all the rides have been designed not to break park guests :p just faults injure/kill guests, or the guests agrivating a defect.

Summit plummit did take a bit of effort i must admit at first, its the fact that it is a practically a drop.... - but the only thing i was scared of after riding it was if i needed to go to hospital to remove my swimming trunks from my backside :p

See, I have no problem with the height of Summit Plummet. I will never ride it because 10 years ago I went on Humunga Kowabunga and it scraped up my back pretty badly (I still have the scars). If they gave you something to lie on, even a thin little rubber mat, I would totally go for it. But I like my spine intact, thank you.
