Pre-Trip Three Words: My Pre Trip Report!

Not long ago I was out for a ride on my bicycle. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, my mind was at peace and I began to think of my wife and how much I love her and had a desire to do something special for her.

Wonderful ideas began to flood my mind. Flowers would be nice, but I needed something better. Perhaps a special dinner? No, that wouldn't be enough. Jewelery? Na, she's very picky and I would most likely get the wrong thing.

Then, i had a spark! An idea that was perfect! As it came to fruition in mind, a big smile came across my face, and then, out of nowhere... I fell of my bike.

Luckily I was not injured aside from a badly bruised ego lol. My Great idea was a trip to Disney world of course! It's been nearly a year since we last visited together and it's about time we get back!

Being just a few months out it was nearly impossible finding more than 2 days together on the dvc website. Over the next 2 weeks I began reserving specific days and was able to piece together 5 days in a row. I definitely wanted more but this was enough to share the news with my wife! I was able to get our home, Boardwalk Villas. We will have a 1 bedroom villa with pool/garden view!

I've visited twice this year, but sans wifey. Our last trip was Ocotber of 2021 and the mask mandate was still enforced outdoors. Even though we had a good time she she decided she would not visit again until the nonsensical mandate was lifted completely. Here's some pics from that trip. Starting off seltzer heavy for @lostpro9het

Over the course of the last 2 months I was able to get a total of 9 days at boardwalk villas. I recently just added an additional 2 days to the beginning of the trip at Wilderness Lodge, studio room, Club Level.

Needless to say, C is SUPER excited to visit again now that we don't have to wear masks.

We've got lots of fun and new stuff planned for this trip! Updates to come soon!

I'm trying to convince C to rent the little sprite boats (im.not sure the proper name, but we called them sprites as kids). I want to cruise by the tree that CMs throw their shoes on. The Bay Lake Shoe Tree!
The Sea Raycers were a blast. Sadly, they are no more. They never reopened after covid and were gotten rid of because the maintenance costs was outweighing the profit from renting them. Like everything else in WDW, if it doesn’t fatten Chapek’s wallet, it’s gotta go. Didn’t know about the tree though! That’s really interesting.

Well d@mn!! Thanks for the heads up. I guess we're gonna need a bigger boat 🤓

For anybody new to my reports, our dogs are Dutch Shepherd/ Belgian Malinois.
My co-worker's son is a Philadelphia cop and he was responding to a call about an aggressive dog. When he arrived on the scene, he was greeted by a Dutch Shepherd who was not at all aggressive. The owner proceeded to shoot at the dog, hitting him in the paw, and the bullet ended up in my co-worker's son's boot. He took the dog to the vet to get care for the gunshot wound (the police department covered all of the costs for the care) and he said he needed to adopt the dog, which he did. He ended up naming him Gunnar (appropriately) and this dog is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. He gave me a hug the first time I met him.

I’m eager to see the new charms C picks up!💜
She just got a brand new Darth Vader Disney visa card. I suppose the Pandora shops will be a proper christening 🤣

Have a great time!
Yes ma'am, will do!

That is such an awesome story! And great name for the dog. Dutchies are such a fun breed but definitely not for everybody (well, at least sane people) 😁😁

We crossed the Florida border about 2 hours ago! I was driving and C was on her phone and didn't notice the sign. I grabbed my phone and took a pic as best I could to avoid any danger (which is my middle name)

I'd like to say one thing to the hard working people of Florida.

I grew up here and I am one of you! My parents worked hard in the tourism industry to put 7 square meals on the table each day for us kids. I know what it's like!

Still waiting on my plaque. Where do all my Tamboooooooo Lounge membership dues go to anyway?
The funds are going towards a private tutor I will be hiring for you and I to help with our spelling. @Tuvalu will be our teacher.

I'm thinking we will make it like the movie Summer School. I'll be Chainsaw and your Dave

We took real slow yesterday. After getting unpacked amd showered we headed back to the club level lounge. They serve "snacks and refreshments" from 11 am -4 pm. They had a very nice selection.

We made our way to Geyser Point for some lunch. C wanted the turkey sandwich but they weren't serving it because they sent all their turkey to Liberty Tree at MK. We just ordered the pork and cheese dip

We decided to head over to Contempo Cafe for the turkey sandwich there. It's actually really.good if you've never tried it.

We had to swing back by the room.before we headed out
