Thoughts on Port Orleans French Quarter?

We;ve always stayed in Bldg 4. It was a nice area and quick walk to the main building. We heard the horses hooves but that never bothered us, probably because we were not on the main walkway. Our rooms were shower rooms, which we prefer. Each area has their own fountain and seating around it. It's fun to go to each area and check out their fountains.

I love the fountains and I love the little parklike area between Bldg 4 and the parking lot.

that’s where we’ve stayed. rooms 4319 & 4219. corner rooms with a king bed. great spot.

POFQ is our favorite resort, we love the grounds, the theme, the river, the boat to DS, the size, the ease of the bus terminal, etc.

The one downside may be if you’re a light sleeper and near the river, the boat horns are pretty consistent until around midnight, I can sleep through it so I view the sound as a plus but we were in a river view room in building 1 one trip and it kept my girlfriend up until they’d stop around midnight. We usually stay in a river view room and have stayed in building 5 several times before and never heard the horn in the room, I think building 1 is just near a turn in the river so they have to blow the horns more.
