When my trip to Orlando was decided on, I started looking on the internet for information about Disney, and Universal, and found this site somewhere, and added it to my favorites list.

And if u see this steve, what inspired you to make a site like this and did u ever expect it to get this big

January 2001 we got another copy of the Unoffical guide to entertain us as we dreamed of Florida. My husband and I thought that we would have to skip our annual trip to WDW since I was pregnant and due March 2001. While we waited and wachted my stomach grow my husband got hooked on the site. He started posting after lurking some. He came up with the Disney PhD name, not me. Since then he got a new job where they actually make him teach and work and I have more time then him, so I do most of the posting and reading. ( I am lucky to have a baby that naps. ) You can tell if I wrote it, I can't spell and I will share more personal things then he will. . :animwink:

Most of our friends don't understand our fanatic interest in WDW and think we are a bit nuts. We feel right at home here.:)

Back in the summer of 99, I was real into the Horizons Tribute Club on yahoo. I was looking around at the links and their was a link to a page about Horizons. It was the DisneyWorld Magic page about Horizons. Then from that page I found the main page and I loved the site because of the RUMORS.

gggrrrrr..... I can´t remember well.....but I still think I was in the old forums though I can´t remember them! I checked and signed back again 4 days after the new ones opened. :brick: :confused:

I belonged to another Disney discussion board, a large one, and some of the regulars there started their smaller boards in some cases having nothing to do with Disney. Those kept me busy for a while. Then since Sept 11th I've been more vigilant about keeping up with all the WDW news since I was supposed to go Sept 18th (wasn't happening) and then again yesterday (I just wimped out of it, whole other topic.) This was maybe the only WDW site I saw that discussed the bad news and happenings as well as the good, without people getting all bothered about 'negativity' or 'you're lucky to be alive to have vacations.' Yes I know there are terrible things happening in the world, I've cried and donated and have been much more appreciative of what I have...I still wanted to know, what's the deal with E-nights? I didn't think that made me a bad person, just trying to make informed decisions about my free time.

Anyway (Sorry! LOL) One of those smaller discussion boards has this link listed, and I am glad.

I found this site a couple years ago while searching google.com for info on DAK's "secret path" i found a link to the old boards. I sent an email to someone....can't remember who. But I just kept checking back, and it steamrolled into an addiction.
