this may have been asked before but how did everyone find this site, was it a friend or maybe a link from another page?

Personally about two years ago on a a boring january night i was trying to find information horizons and what was going on with it.
I was on hotbot.com looking. Down the list i clicked on this website.
I found all the info I needed on the site and found the forums, didnt sign up for a while but always checked in to see what was going on.

yes this is a boring question and i know i might of got carried away but please share with me if you like:lookaroun

I just remember a friend told me about it and when I checked it, I liked it and saved it into my favorite ones, but I rarely checked it until he asked me about it trying to find it again.....and then, I got hooked! I think, though I am not sure, that I signed on it since the old forums, but can´t remember how they were anymore! :brick:

Age is causing troubles to my memory... sniff...:(

As I recall,I was looking for information on AKL, as I was planning on staying there in June, and knew nothing about the resort. I also "lurked" for a while before posting. I had followed another forum (on a completely different subject) and saw other posters being torn apart by the regulars. I watched here for a while, and decided I could handle anything they dished out, so started posting...and posting....and posting! ;)

I was just searching for Disney sites in General. I came across the WDW Magic main site in June probably and then I noticed the forums link and registered!

No lurking for me though...I just dive right it! :D

i found this site three or four years ago. I don't think that there was a forum at that point. I worked in a web related field so I spent all day online and Steve's little corner of the internet quickly became one of my favorite haunts. I registered and posted on the first forum but sort of lost interest in it once I signed up for the email group. As a matter of fact, it wasn't till everyone on the email group began to turn on each other that I even considered checking back on the forum. I'm glad that I did, though. It's sad to think that I might have missed meeting all you wonderful people :)

After my most recent trip to WDW (October 28th - November 6th, 2001), I was nostalgic and picked up my "unofficial" guide book to flip through...wdwmagic.com is listed on page 31 as one of "Len's picks", so I checked it out, and I like what I see...I read more than I post, though...

BTW, I found this to be an interesting question. It lets everyone know how the others found the site, and tells why some of us stayed on to become "regulars!" :D

i used to visit intercot.com on a daily basis for all my wdw needs - but one day while surfing i landed here - haven't looked back at intercot since (well, maybe once or twice).

it was the frequently updated news and rumors section that really drew me in. intercot seemed to always be one step behind and a bit stale.

not to mention the chaos that can sometimes be the forums. though i'm mostly watching from the sidelines - it's a riot!

LOL yup - I talk to Len from the Unnofficial Guide occasionally :)
The site also made it into a magazine - I have a scan somewhere - I will attach it later. :D

Wow..pretty much the same thing here...

Like 3 years ago I was just surfing around looking for some pics of Epcot...and found the site. There wasn't a forum yet, it had the looong force9 URL..no message board....I was so pleased wth the site that I offered to do a flash intro (which suprisingly is STILL there today...as cheesy as it is)...

Steve added the board...I posted for a little bit...but I got kinda ticked at the type of stuff people were posting...so i signed up for the email list. it took about 5 months for me to get REALLY angry and the people and the mailing list (flooding my email box with stupid crap like "You suck!" or other various things KIDS post.)

I then took a good 7 or so month vabaction from the boards..until recently when I decided to start scanning thru here again...and we all know what happened next.

I always wondered why you stoped posting on that list. Apparently Jay-Rod was on it for a while too but I don't ever remember seeing him there.
