This can't be real

On our recent trip to Disney we took 17 rolls of film. I was very excited to get all of my pictures back, especially my pictures with Mickey! I don't know what happened, but I have ONE picture. I am so upset over this. My husband is also upset since this was his first trip to Disney! By the way, the one picture is when I had just loaded the film and was advancing it. So it isn't a picture of anything really. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? Thanks for letting me vent about this.

It could be a number of things.....

1. Faulty Camera
2. Xray damage at the airport scanners
3. Incorrect unloading/Loading of the film
4. Negative Damage during processing
5. Problems printing from the negatives

Have u used the camera before?
Have you checked with the photo lab? They can normally advise what the problem was.

Hoep that helps a tiny but. Sorry to hear you lost your photos :(

So sorry to hear about your photo's

The only similar thing I have heard is from my Brother In Law.

Last year on our visit to WDW, he took his nice new digital camera, took loads of great pictures, and uploaded them onto his pc. He started to burn them onto a cd. Everything was fine until he realised there was aproblem with his cd rw, nothing was going onto disc. He sent the pc back for repair and when it came back they had formatted his c: drive, and he has unfortunately formatted his flash card from the camera. Every single photo was lost, because the dumb people at the computer centre just reformatted his drive, despite him telling them not to!!!

Needless to say, much compensation came his way.

Thanks everyone!

It has to be the camera. I have taken my film to two different developers and they said they have never seen anything like it. We drove down do it can't be the x-ray. I wish it was something like that though. I don't think it would be loading and unlaoding the film because it is automatic.

I guess this means I have to go back even sooner so I can get more pictues!

A tip is that if ever you are in doubt, get a roll processed on Disney property before you leave to make sure things are working OK. At least then you have chance to run around and get the photos taken again if they didnt turn out right the first time.

Just for a little consolation.... we had to finish some sort of thesis proposing a touristic new route for mayan sites at the university, and all we needed were the pics to complete the whole book, so we spent a whole day going "on tour" of the ruins with a guide; got great pics -even one of some native´s wedding- and when we took them to the lab, the whole film didn´t run! We had no pics! The most annoying part was that we went to the lab first so some professional had the film put into the camera so things like that didn´t happen! We should have done that ourtselves... Needless to say we had to go back and do it all again!

Another time, we had taken a lot of pics of my baby nephew at the beach, and for the last one, my mom gave my dad the camera to hold while she was getting into the sea with the baby, and my dad put his arms down and the camera took a dive into the water! For some reason, they couldn´t open the camera again and my mom hammered it until she got the film out and got only 6 pics developed, but so worth them! :)

Sounds like a faulty camera to me...even the worse photographer would have some pictures even by accident. I feel bad for you...you must be super-disappointed.

I have about 8,000 pictures of DisneyWorld....let me know what you want to see, send me a picture of whoever you want in the picture, and I'll superimpose your heads onto the bodies in My pictures.
Do you have a beer belly?

UPDATE!

It was a faulty camera. The shutter got stuck while open. It would have been better for me if it was shut - at least that way I would still have some film left.

I have decided that if I get the Friday after Thanksgiving off I will have to take a quick trip to Disney to try to replace my pictures. I just hope my friend was already planning to work on Friday. I don't want to tell her that I want Friday off. We get either Wednesday or Friday off since that is the beginning of our busiest season.

Thanks everyone!
